Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking to hire a Sr. Principal Configuration Analyst to join its team. This position is in Roy, UT and will support the Sentinel program. Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force's sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure.

What you will get to do:

This role will report to operating Segment Configuration Management / Data Management, and Program Change Engineering Lead and will work directly with Configuration and Data Management (CM/DM-PCE) leadership in a wide array of tasks associated with both configuration and data management disciplines. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Planning meeting agendas, conducting meetings, and recording meeting minutes, controlling technical baselines, and tracking configuration status, performing document reviews to include classification markings, data rights markings, and formatting, Familiarity with development and transfer of technical baselines, and conducting configuration audits.
  • Developing Data Management products, knowledge, and experience with both Contractor Data Requirement List (CDRL) and Subcontractor Data Requirements List (SDRL) processes.
  • Developing solutions to a variety of complex problems, must be able to perform research and determine the best option from a variety of options without manager guidance.
  • Plan, schedule and arrange own activities to accomplish objectives.
  • Provide detailed CM/DM subject matter knowledge to both internal and external stakeholders when requested.
  • Represent your organization as a prime contact on your assigned contract or project.
  • Interact with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations.
  • Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction goals and objectives.
  • Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and reporting status
  • Development, implementation, and maintenance of tools/templates for monitoring project progress
  • Preparation of status reports and presentations for NGC internal and Customer meetings
  • Conduct risk & opportunity management practices including identification, mitigation and realization, and ensure compliance to customer and program risk management requirements

This position's standard work schedule is 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8 Years with a Bachelor's degree, 6 Years with a Master's degree, 4 Years with a PhD. An additional 4 years of direct Configuration Management or Data Management experience can be considered in 'lieu of' a degree.
  • Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years
  • Must be able to be successfully screened for Enhanced Security Clearances, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs
  • Experience with Microsoft tool suite; the ability to create, manage, and manipulate the tools, especially PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Teams
  • 2 years' experience with configuration management or data management processes
  • Experience working cross-functional integration teams ensuring consistent alignment and maintaining cost and schedule

Preferred Qualifications:

  • NG CPLM or Siemens Teamcenter Experience.
  • Siemens NX and/or Capital Experience.
  • JIRA, SharePoint Experience.
  • ICBM Weapon Systems Experience.
  • Familiarity with EIA-649 and/or MIL-HDBK-61.
  • Master's degree with 3 years of related experience, or a PhD with 1 year of related experience
  • Experience with interfacing with all levels of employees and leadership
  • Experience with risk management
  • Experience with proposal development
  • Experience with analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience with prioritizing and completing multiple tasks within critical deadlines.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders
  • Preferred Active DoD Clearance
  • Preferred Active Special Program Access (PAR)
  • 2+ years' experience in Project management, Program Integration/Execution
  • Knowledge of Project Management principles and experience utilizing them professionally
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or similar
  • Proven success managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong written and verbal communication, including presentation skills to senior leadership

Primary Level Salary Range: $101,400.00 - $152,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
