Pay Rate: $14.20
Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the Saganing Guest Services Supervisor, perform daily operations of the Players Club booth to include: maintaining the player database, registering new players, and assisting guests and players, running promotions, selling box office tickets, check in coats, greet guests, answering telephones, retrieving messages & returning telephone calls and perform message paging in a professional and courteous manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Stock brochures, rack cards, informational materials.
  • Organize and distribute coupons and raffle tickets.
  • Issue premium play and food vouchers to club members.
  • Ensure that the highest level of customer service is maintained.
    • Address guest complaints and questions to best of ability.
    • Assist guests with promo dollar & point download process.
    • Check Players Club account balances and eligibility for promotions; merge and adjust accounts; print replacement cards; set and reset PIN numbers; provide win and loss statements as requested; provide cords as requested.
  • Create and maintain all aspects of Players Club member accounts.
    • Enter guest into groups (buses, drawing tickets and promo dollars).
  • Run promotions and drawings using the latest computer system available.
  • Unload pallets and organizing product to be prepared for gift day
  • Balance gas cards at the beginning and end of work shift.
  • Work off site at promotional sponsorships when necessary.
  • Ensure bus groups are properly greeted and serviced; process bus group manifests.
  • Promote Players Club card usage to new and existing players on casino floor.
  • Perform paging/radio duties in accordance with proper scripting and etiquette guidelines.
  • Balance cash drawer (which is required for box office & promotions) at the beginning & end of work shift.
  • Sell box office tickets to concerts and events and process payments using various payment methods accepted by SELC; deliver tickets in the manner requested by patron, such as printing them or picking them up at will call; discount tickets based on tier levels; place points on guests accounts.
  • Report accidents, possible problems, or unusual circumstances involving guests, team members or company assets in an immediate manner.
  • Practice Saganing Hospitality Rules with every internal and external guest.
  • Assist in maintaining a pleasant environment by removing and disposing of trash, cleaning up spills and clutter, and keeping work areas organized.
  • Provide excellent customer service for all internal and external customers of the operations at all times. Provide solutions for customer concerns and continually focus on customer service as our top priority.
  • Must maintain strict confidentiality and present a positive, professional demeanor and image at all times.

Contacts/Purpose of Contacts:
  • Contact with Guest Services Supervisor & Manager to remain informed of departmental issues and procedures, and current and upcoming Players Club promotions.
  • Contact with casino guests to enroll them in the Players Club, maintain their accounts and provide the highest quality guest service.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license to meet the employment eligibility requirements as they pertain to the position.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Customer service experience.

License, Certification, or Special Requirements:
  • Must have a valid State of Michigan Drivers License, with the proper designation required for the vehicle utilized to perform the job duties, and qualify for coverage by SCIT auto liability insurance carrier. A Tribal Drivers License will also be required if a Motor Pool Vehicle is used in the course and scope of the required job duties.
  • Native American preference shall apply to all positions.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of player club practices.
  • Skill in guest service and organization.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to interact and maintain good working relationships with individuals of varying social and cultural backgrounds.
  • Ability to service customers in a professional appearance and manner.
  • Ability to follow instructions and abide by department, policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work all shifts including weekends and holidays.

Physical Demands:
  • Frequent use of hands, wrists, fingers associated with computer equipment.
  • Required to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Sit, stoop, kneel or crouch while performing duties.
  • Use hands to finger, handle, or feel; use arms to reach and lift above shoulders.
  • Must have normal auditory and good verbal communication.
  • Occasionally lift/push/pull up to 25 pounds.

Work Environment:
  • Frequent walking and standing in a smoking environment and contact with the general public. Constant visual stimulation via neon lights on slot machines, repeatedly changing machine video screens, static or flashing signs throughout the casino and constant machine and crowd noise.
  • Must possess sufficient stamina to work under all types of weather conditions including extreme hot/cold and to lift, carry, push, or pull a variety of tools, equipment and materials.
  • Extended hours or irregular shifts may be required.
