Living Room

A home away from home where creatives celebrate music, art, design and culture.  We are a private membership club open to members and their guests only.
The Team

At Living Room, the Busser is responsible for curating a well organized, clean, and structured member and guest experience. A Busser supports the team and leadership by cleaning and resetting tables, ensuring the availability of flatware and plates, and bringing guest needs to the attention of the waitstaff. They also restock necessary items, such as napkins and straws, and may assist with washing dishes. 

A successful Busser will be efficient, attentive, and have strong customer service skills.

The Role 

  • Complete Service Standards training to learn about our products, steps of service and property standards
  • Detail all tables before service begins, ensure place settings are neat and organized and proper lighting are on the tables
  • Ensure appropriate table setting and china is used for various services throughout the day; breakfast, lunch, dinner or feast service; items in place (ketchup, salt pepper, HP and sugar bowl).
  • Stock all stations upon arrival (small plates, sharing plates, water and wines glasses, and all the silverware) and maintain throughout service along with working with your team to keep neat
  • Maintain section and ensure water is delivery upon guests' arrival while also assisting other sections when applicable
  • Clear tables plates, silver / glassware between each course and subsequently wipe down and re-set table for new guests
  • Polish silverware and pot wash are stored according to local standards
  • Complete side work before and after service
  • Making sure the cabinet and shelf in the bar area are full before service (glassware - silverware - plate ware).
  • Remove all the dirty linen from station and trash is empty and clean

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in similar role
  • Flexible schedule and open to working weekends / holidays (when needed)
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Detail oriented ability to multitask and deliver results in demanding and fast-paced environments
  • Basic verbal communication skills.
