The Transportation Club Services position will primarily focus on the transportation to and from housing off island to the Clubhouse. As well as laundry from the Beach Club and Island House to the laundry facility. Must have a valid driver's license and meet Club driving standards. Ability to work a flexible schedule that will include evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  • Off island transportation to and from employee housing to Seabrook Island Club multiple times a day.
  • Keep van clean, check the oil in the van you are driving daily and report any mechanical problems as soon as possible.
  • Pick-up and drop off towels and linen to Club facilities as directed: Pick up dirty linens from Island House, Beach Club, cart barn, Racquet Club and deliver to laundry to be processed and deliver clean linens to Island House and Beach Club after it is has been processed.
  • Must maintain the policy of this company to conduct operations in a manner that will prevent injuries to people and damage to property and equipment and that will comply with all applicable regulations for safety and health.
  • Promote and adhere to standards set by the Seabrook Island Club.
  • Lead by example and promote Seabrook Core Values, Characteristics, Employee Customer Service Motto and Decision Making.
  • Complete any other tasks as directed by the Director of Engineering

Requirements

Job Requirement:

Education: High School diploma or GED preferred.

Experience: Driving experience preferred

Skills: Must be an excellent driver and possess an excellent driving record

Supervisory Responsibilities: None.

Equipment to be used: Must be able to operate a 15+ passenger van and Club vehicles, Must have a valid drivers license.

Typical Physical Demands: Requires the ability to work in a sometimes physically and mentally stressful and challenging environment. Requires the normal range of bending, reaching and stooping. Requires a substantial amount of pushing and pulling laundry carts and must be able to lift 75 lb laundry bag when needed. Must be able to sit for an extended period at times and/or stand. This position will also require the ability to work in extreme temperatures at times.
