JOB SUMMARY:

Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the club and equipment by providing housekeeping services.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Depending on the assignments for the day, you will be given a checklist of duties by your supervisor. The following is not all inclusive of the specific responsibilities, but is a list of the types of tasks you will be asked to perform:
  • Maintain building interior and specifically the locker room areas, by dusting and cleaning furniture, counters, lockers, equipment, mirrors, fixtures; washing floors, tiling, windows, walls, ceilings, and woodwork; sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning and vacuuming carpet, re-supplying restrooms and locker room soaps, and hygienic products; replacing light bulbs and paper products.
  • Keep all rooms in the club clean and organized.
  • Removes trash and maintains the interior appearance of the club by picking up papers, emptying trash cans, transporting materials to disposal area, etc.
  • Maintains building accessibility and appearance by picking up all trash and papers, removing ice and snow from walkways and parking lot.
  • Keeps cleaning products safe, stocked, and cleaning room organized and clean at all times. When low of products inform your supervisor.
  • Greet and serve members while in the club.
  • Assist members by answering questions promptly and courteously.
  • Attend and participate in required meetings and trainings as needed.
  • Check with supervisor 30 minutes before shift has ended for any special project that have developed.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS - WHO YOU ARE:

  • Prior experience in a service industry (i.e. food, retail, etc.) a plus
  • Basic knowledge of the use of cleaning chemicals and pool maintenance experience a plus
  • Effectively communicate (verbal and writing skills) in English
  • Willing and able to work a flexible shift: overnight, weekends, and holidays
  • Must demonstrate a professional, upbeat demeanor at all times
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and ability to multi-task

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is frequently required to walk and stand up to 8 hours/day and/or sit for an extended period of time. Team member may be exposed to cleaning chemicals or airborne particles and will be required to wear designated PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as directed. team members are occasionally required to use hands and fingers for handle or feel; occasional reach, push and pulling with arms and hands; occasional climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and occasional reach and twist, including side-to-side movements. The team member may be required to occasionally lift, carry or move up to 25 pounds and may seldom be required to lift, carry or move 26-50 pounds.
