What you'll do:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Networking Specialist to join our team focused on software solutions for our VM Essentials customers. This role involves designing, implementing, and optimizing Data Plane layer of the Software Defined Networking (SDN) enhancements to VM Essentials customers in highly scalable, enterprise private cloud-based, distributed architectures.
  • Design and develop Data Plane features for SDN targeted at large enterprise customers
  • Debug and fix software issues in highly scalable and performance intensive deployments
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams (Configuration and Control path) to ensure seamless integration
  • Optimize performance of SDN in truly distributed, cloud based software architecture
  • Opportunity to work with some of the networking gurus who have developed and authored cutting-edge solutions for ever evolving access network.

What you need to bring:
  • Bachelor's OR master's degree in computer-science or related field.
  • Excellent network software design capabilities, C/C++ programming, debugging skills and a strong systems programming background
  • 4+ years of experience in developing new features and bug fixing on complex products in networking domain.
  • Knowledge of L2 (EVPN, VLAN, VXLAN) and L3 (eBGP, iBGP, MP-BGP, MPLS)
  • Experience with routing, Kernel and DPDK Forwarding Plane, Tunnel using MPLSoUDP, MPLSoGRE and VxLan
  • Experience with XMPP, BGP, iBGP and NetConf
  • Knowledge of EBPF
  • Experience in debugging networking problems in complex systems involving multiple process/thread interactions including, but not limited to analysing crashes, scaling and performance issues, packet loss, memory leaks and memory corruption
  • Proactive mindset and strong willingness to learn in addition to ability to think out of the box and adopt new software development tools and technologies
  • Understanding of network architecture of enterprise cloud and experience in deploying applications in Kubernetes environment is a plus.
