Job DescriptionCandidate Responsibilities

The Cloud security consultant is responsible for facilitating security efforts and remediating security vulnerabilities partnering with app teams to identify gaps and remediate security issues. Security Engineers will help develop policies and assist development teams in implementing solutions to close those security gaps and make services compliant to enterprise security requirements.

Typical Day

• Keep development teams accountable to metrics measuring risk • Understand security requirements and risk tolerance baselines • Track existing risk statements and work with risk owners to close gaps • Maintain current knowledge on existing security procedures, directives and technology controls including application testing, threat modeling, attack and penetration testing, data classification and data handling

Education Requirements:

Bachelor degree in Computer Science or equivalent

Soft Skills

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-3 years of IT security operations experience

• Experience with the Prisma Cloud toolset (Redlock, Twistlock, PureSec)

• Experience with ServiceNow • Professional information security certification (CISSP, CCSP, CSSLP, GISCP, GWAPT, GWEB etc)

• Excellent written and verbal communications skills; demonstrated ability to communicate highly technical security concepts to non-security audiences

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $35.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
