Job description

Our client is seeking an Azure Networking Engineer to support cloud network deployments, infrastructure upgrades, and ongoing networking needs across a hybrid enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure networking services, strong networking fundamentals, and experience troubleshooting and supporting complex network environments.


This is a hands-on technical role with significant coordination responsibilities. The engineer will configure and support Azure networking infrastructure, troubleshoot connectivity issues, coordinate with vendors and internal teams, and support network deployments from initial design and configuration through implementation and validation.


Location: Dover, DE

Schedule: 2 days onsite per week, based on deployment and business needs

Duration: Long-term contract with potential for indefinite extension


Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure networking
  • Experience with Azure Virtual Networks (VNet), subnets, NSGs, route tables, and Azure VPN
  • Experience with Azure ExpressRoute and/or hybrid connectivity
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, VLANs, firewalls, VPNs, WAN, and Internet connectivity
  • Experience with Azure Load Balancer, Application Gateway, Azure Firewall, and/or Private Link
  • Experience configuring, deploying, troubleshooting, or supporting cloud network infrastructure
  • Understanding of Azure networking architecture and hybrid on-premises/cloud environments
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Experience coordinating with vendors, ISPs, field technicians, and internal infrastructure teams
  • Strong communication, organization, and follow-through
  • Ability to manage multiple projects or network initiatives simultaneously
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a network engineering/cloud infrastructure team
  • Ability to work onsite 1โ€“2 days per week as needed
