Job Summary:
Google is a leading technology company that focuses on user-first products. They are seeking a Group Product Manager for Cloud Storage to guide product development from conception to launch, ensuring alignment with market needs and delivering high-performance storage solutions for enterprise customers.
Responsibilities:
• Define and execute the product strategy and roadmap for high-performance storage solutions on Google Cloud, ensuring alignment with evolving market needs and internal infrastructure capabilities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver integrated storage services that meet the demands of AI and enterprise customers.
• Drive product-market fit by gathering technical requirements from customers and translating them into prioritized feature sets and long-term product ideas.
• Manage the product lifecycle, from initial concept and development to go-to-market strategy and global launch.
• Work with sales, marketing, and solutions architecture teams to develop technical collateral, pricing models, and competitive positioning for the storage portfolio.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
• 5 years of experience in Cloud storage and the overall public cloud ecosystem including customer requirements, market trends, competitive positioning.
• 5 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch (e.g., ideation to execution, 0 to 1, etc.).
Preferred:
• Master's degree in a technology or business related field.
• Experience in product management leadership, within cloud infrastructure or enterprise software.
• Experience launching 0 to 1 products or scaling enterprise cloud services at a global level.
• Knowledge of modern storage architectures, file systems, and the data requirements of computing environments (e.g., AI/ML, Big Data).
• Ability to lead and scale product teams, navigating environments and influencing stakeholders across the organization.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into compelling value propositions for executive leadership and customers.
