The Role: Information System Security Engineer
The Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) will serve as a key leader in our cybersecurity program, responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure systems across the enterprise. This role combines deep technical expertise with leadership skills to guide security architecture, enforce compliance, and mentor team members. You will work closely with IT leadership, engineering teams, and business stakeholders to ensure security is embedded in every aspect of our technology ecosystem. 
What You’ll Get To Do
  • Security Architecture & Engineering: Design and implement secure systems, networks, and applications aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements. 
  • Risk Management & Compliance: Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability analysis, and ensure compliance with frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, CMMC, and applicable government regulations. 
  • Incident Response & Threat Management: Develop and maintain incident response plans, lead investigations, and coordinate remediation efforts. 
  • Collaboration & Strategy: Act as a trusted advisor to IT leadership on security strategy, emerging threats, and technology investments. 
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed security documentation, policies, and reports for audits and executive reviews. 
Leadership Responsibilities
  • Team Development: Mentor and guide security engineers, fostering technical growth and professional development. 
  • Vision & Strategy: Define and communicate the long-term security roadmap, aligning with organizational goals and emerging technologies.

What You Have
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field 
  • 5+ years of experience in information security engineering, with at least 2+ years in a leadership or senior role 
  • Strong knowledge of security frameworks (NIST, CIS, ISO), encryption, identity management, and secure network design 
  • Hands-on experience with IDS/IPS, SIEM tools, and vulnerability management platforms 
  • Proven ability to lead projects and mentor technical teams 
  • Excellent communication skills for technical and executive audiences

  • Master’s degree in Cybersecurity or related discipline
