Job description

THE ROLE

As a Senior Cloud Native Architect, you will empower global enterprises to run mission-critical data workloads anywhere by deploying and optimizing state-of-the-art container storage solutions. You will act as a high-impact technical advisor within the rapidly expanding Portworx Professional Services business, solving cutting-edge Kubernetes challenges and driving successful cloud-native adoptions. Partnering closely with customer engineering teams, Product Engineering, and Support, your mission is to convert complex technical requirements into resilient, highly available containerized infrastructure that powers modern applications.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Architect Cloud-Native Solutions: Design, deploy, and optimize production-grade Kubernetes clusters across hybrid and multi-cloud environments, ensuring seamless performance and enterprise-grade resilience for customer databases.
  • Drive Day-2 Operations & Automation: Implement robust CI/CD pipelines, GitOps workflows, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to streamline microservices deployment and automate ongoing platform management.
  • Solve Cutting-Edge Infrastructure Challenges: Partner directly with customer teams and Product Engineering to troubleshoot complex container environments, accelerating time-to-value and delivering exceptional customer outcomes.
  • Manage High-Availability Data Platforms: Design and deploy scale-out data architectures for modern open-source databases and data processing platforms, ensuring high availability and robust data management.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Container & Orchestration Mastery: Hands-on experience designing, deploying, and troubleshooting production Kubernetes environments across platforms such as OpenShift, Rancher, or major cloud provider engines.
  • Infrastructure Automation & DevOps Expertise: Demonstrated proficiency using Infrastructure as Code tools (such as Terraform or Ansible) and modern CI/CD automation pipelines to manage cloud-native environments.
  • System & Storage Architecture Skills: Deep operational understanding of Linux systems administration, enterprise networking, and software-defined storage architectures.
  • Consultative Problem Solving: Strong communication and collaborative skills with a proven ability to consult directly on customer sites, translate business needs into technical designs, and navigate complex technical landscapes.
