Position Title: Senior Manager of Cloud Platform Engineering

Business Unit: Technology

Reports to: Director of Infrastructure Services

Position Overview:

The Senior Manager, Cloud Platform Engineering, is a responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing enterprise cloud infrastructure platforms supporting mission-critical business services. This role provides deep technical expertise in cloud architecture, automation, security integration, resiliency engineering, and operational excellence. The Senior Manager, Cloud Platform Engineering, partners with application, security, network, and infrastructure teams to deliver scalable, secure, and highly available cloud solutions aligned with regulatory and business requirements.

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide senior leadership for Cloud Platform Engineering and DevOps Engineering teams. Define and execute multi-year cloud platform strategy aligned to enterprise architecture and business growth.

Establish governance models for cloud environments including identity, networking, security baselines, and cost management. Drive DevOps maturity including CI/CD standardization, automation frameworks, and release governance.

Ensure integration of security (Develops) practices into engineering pipelines and platform design. Own cloud resiliency, high availability, disaster recovery, and operational readiness programs.

Partner with Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, and Application Development leadership to align platform capabilities. Lead workforce planning, skills development, and succession planning for platform and DevOps teams.

Develop and manage departmental budgets, vendor strategy, and cloud financial management (FinOps). Provide executive-level reporting on cloud health, risk posture, engineering productivity, and cost efficiency.

Oversee design and operation of enterprise cloud landing zones and foundational platform services. Ensure standardization of infrastructure-as-code and automated provisioning frameworks.

Establish scalable networking, identity, and segmentation patterns across cloud environments. Drive platform reliability engineering including monitoring, logging, and observability standards.

Standardize CI/CD tooling, pipeline governance, and release automation practices. Ensure secure software supply chain controls and vulnerability scanning within pipelines.

Drive automation of environment provisioning, configuration management, and deployment workflows. Measure and improve engineering productivity metrics (deployment frequency, change failure rate, MTTR).

Promote collaboration between development, security, and operations teams.

Performs other related duties and projects as assigned.
