Job description

Overview

CTG is seeking an experienced AWS Kubernetes Cloud Engineer to support a Digital Marketing initiative for our client. This role will focus on designing, deploying, and maintaining scalable cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes environments within AWS while ensuring high availability, security, and operational efficiency.

Location: Atlanta, GA
Duration: 12 months

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect, deploy, and manage AWS cloud infrastructure solutions.
  • Implement and maintain Kubernetes clusters, including networking, ingress, security, storage, and pod management.
  • Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, and AWS CDK.
  • Build and support CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI and related DevOps tools.
  • Configure and manage AWS services including EC2, S3, SQS, Lambda, KMS, DynamoDB, VPC, and PostgreSQL.
  • Implement AWS and Kubernetes security best practices including IAM, mTLS, encryption, certificate management, and security groups.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot distributed cloud environments using AWS CloudWatch and related monitoring tools.
  • Support microservices-based applications and collaborate closely with development and DevOps teams.

Required Skills:

  • Strong experience with AWS cloud architecture and infrastructure management.
  • Hands-on Kubernetes administration experience in enterprise environments.
  • Expertise with Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, and Infrastructure as Code practices.
  • Experience with CI/CD automation tools such as GitLab CI.
  • Knowledge of AWS networking and security services including IAM, VPC, and security groups.
  • Experience with monitoring and troubleshooting complex distributed systems.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL and DynamoDB.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Java 17+, Spring Boot, JPA, ORM, multi-threading, and microservices architecture.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of AWS/cloud engineering experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
  • AWS and Kubernetes certifications are a plus.
