Cloud Developer
The Opportunity:
Maintain responsibility for developing the cloud service delivery models and architectural framework to enable platform as a service (PaaS), infrastructure as a service (IaaS), software as a service (SaaS), and data as a service (DaaS). Implement automation for cloud resources using DevSecOps best practices. Analyze applications and make recommendations across multiple areas that identify what platforms can move, migrate, or be deployed into a cloud environment. Provide strategies for failure and recovery, cost optimization, and benefit analyses of cloud, cloud agnostic, and on-site premise services. Maintain responsibility for developing and implementing cloud applications, migrating existing on-premises applications to the cloud, debugging cloud stacks, managing policies for the use of cloud services, requests for new technology, establishing a secure cloud environment, and ensuring appropriate availability and uptime design. Work independently designing and developing new software products or major enhancements to existing cloud software.
You Have:
  • 5+ years of experience in cloud or system administration roles
  • Experience with AWS or Azure cloud-native technologies
  • Experience with managed or unmanaged Kubernetes
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), including Terraform or Terragrunt
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical personnel, pay strict attention to detail, multitask, and prioritize tasks
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience working with scripting languages, including python or Bash
  • Experience with Zero Trust technologies
  • Experience with identity technologies
  • Security+ Certification
  • CKAD Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
