Job Title: Cloud Database Administrator (CDA) Job Category: Information Technology Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: TS/SCI with Polygraph Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 10% Type of Travel: Continental US Anticipated Posting End: 11/9/2026 The Opportunity: CACI is seeking an experienced Cloud Database Administrator (Cloud DBA) to join our team in Sarasota, FL; Denver, CO; or Sterling, VA to support a unique, mission-critical customer initiative. This opportunity requires a highly skilled database professional who can design, manage, secure, optimize, and modernize database environments across cloud and enterprise platforms. The Cloud DBA will work in a fast-paced, Agile environment alongside customers, business analysts, developers, system testers, and end users to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable database solutions.

The ideal candidate brings strong database administration expertise, cloud experience, analytical problem-solving skills, and the ability to support complex technical environments. Responsibilities: Design, implement, configure, and maintain database systems across cloud and enterprise environments, including AWS, Azure, and Oracle. Optimize database performance, architecture, structure, scalability, and capacity to support cloud-based operations.

Implement and maintain database security measures, including access controls, encryption, and applicable security and compliance practices. Monitor database health, performance, availability, utilization, and capacity and proactively identify potential issues. Troubleshoot database issues, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive solutions.

Design, implement, and maintain high-availability, backup, recovery, and disaster-recovery solutions. Support database definition, design, structure, documentation, upgrades, long-range requirements, operational guidelines, and database protection. Maintain database support tools, tables, dictionaries, and related database administration components.

Perform and support database backup and recovery procedures. Support database migrations, upgrades, and modernization activities using appropriate migration strategies and tools. Apply database automation and DevOps practices to improve deployment, administration, monitoring, and operational efficiency.

Work collaboratively with customers, business analysts, developers, system testers, and end users to resolve database and application-related challenges. Evaluate emerging database technologies and cloud-native database services and identify opportunities to improve platform capabilities. Qualifications: Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Active TS/SCI with CI polygraph. Security+ certification. Five (5)+ years of experience as a Database Administrator (DBA).

Expert-level experience with relational database management systems, including Oracle, SQL Server, and/or PostgreSQL. Experience administering and supporting cloud-based database services, such as Amazon RDS, Azure SQL Database, and/or Google Cloud SQL. Experience with database migration tools, methodologies, and strategies.

Strong knowledge of database security best practices, access controls, encryption, and compliance requirements. Experience with DevOps practices, database automation, and infrastructure automation. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management tools.

Experience with database performance monitoring, troubleshooting, tuning, and optimization tools. Experience with data warehousing and big data technologies. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Desired: Cloud platform certifications and/or certifications related to Kubernetes or other cloud-native technologies. Relevant database certifications, such as Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate. Experience supporting cloud modernization, database migration, or large-scale enterprise database environments.

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
