About the Role

When leading companies choose this hyperscaler's Cloud technology, it's a huge win for spreading the power of cloud computing globally. Once educational institutions, government agencies, and businesses sign on to use their Cloud products, you come in to facilitate making their work more productive, mobile, and collaborative.

As a Customer Engineer, you will partner with technical Sales teams to differentiate their Cloud products to their customers. You will help prospective and existing German customers and partners understand the power of Cloud, develop creative cloud solutions and architectures, engage in proofs-of-concepts, and troubleshoot technical roadblocks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect Technical Solutions: Help customers understand their Cloud architecture's capabilities, designing creative cloud solutions and architectures to solve complex business issues.
  • Resolve Technical Blockers: Work closely with the team to identify and qualify business opportunities, understand key customer technical objections, and develop the strategy to resolve technical blockers.
  • Own Proofs-of-Concept: Lead technical evaluations, manage proofs-of-concept (PoCs), and present practical, actionable solutions built on their Cloud platform.
  • Liaise with Sales and Engineering Teams: Assist fellow sales by problem-solving key technical issues, and collaborate directly with product marketing management and engineering teams to stay on top of industry trends.
  • Infrastructure Modernization: Share your enterprise infrastructure modernization expertise to support the technical relationship with customers, including technology advocacy and supporting bid responses.

What You Bring to the Role

  • Language Proficiency: Verbal and written fluency in both German (minimum C1 level) and English (minimum B2 level) to seamlessly support German enterprise customers.
  • Cloud Technical Acumen: Deep understanding of cloud computing, SaaS business models, cloud-based software, and modern digital enterprise solutions (experience with Google Cloud architectures is a massive plus).
  • Pre-Sales or Engineering Experience: Proven ability to handle technical objections, design cloud architectures, and run proofs-of-concept.
  • Relationship & Influence Skills: Ability to build immediate rapport, establish long-term relationships, and influence high-level C-suite decision-makers on their technology strategies.
  • Problem-Solving Mindset: A highly autonomous, solution-oriented approach to resolving deep technical questions before escalating.
