Summary:
The Clinical Value Analysis coordinator leads Value Analysis team functions with responsibility for achieving supply expense management initiatives and targets utilizing the value analysis process. The Coordinator leads all value analysis structures across the organization. The Coordinator will develop and execute a structured approach that will maximize the application of data analytics and clinical evidence leading to best in class efficiency, product standardization and utilization. This role will serve as a consultant to clinical staff throughout the organization for sourcing safe and effective products. This role will provide support multiple safety committees across the organization as a team member with nursing leadership.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for developing and leading a consortium-wide value analysis process with the goal of providing high quality, efficient and cost-effective service; this process requires the establishment of and adherence to a streamlined method for standardizing and monitoring product/service selection, utilization and costs.
Provides clinical and strategic expertise that facilitates supply expense management while continuously improving quality, safety and satisfaction.
Leads utilization management efforts for clinical products and works with clinical partners to review opportunities for standardization and efficiencies in use. Organizes methods and standard work on the evaluation of utilization management in supply management. Leads conversion opportunities until completion with follow-up measurement to validate success.
Actively works with members of the health care team and system teams to assist them with product selection and conversions, which includes listening to concerns, mediating user issues with manufacturers, and following up on product quality concerns, which may include FDA reporting. Works with the consortium GPO organization, GSA and VA on their respective offerings related to supply contracts.
Works closely with clinical departments, and Procurement and Contracting to ensure that contracts are in alignment and compliance can be met.
Makes significant contributions to ANTHC from a price, quality and service perspective. Ensure efficient operations in each of the main areas of responsibility. Efficiency monitored through a set of key performance indicators by area of responsibility. KPIs to include, at a minimum, outcome improvement, process improvement, budget performance, cost savings, and customer service improvement in alignment with ANMC and ANTHC.
Serves staff as both an educator and mentor on the value analysis process; works strategically and tactically to facilitate and identify, analyze, decide and implement best practices and expense management initiatives.
Supports nursing quality initiatives with help in resourcing products being mindful of utilizing contracted suppliers unless clinically contraindicated.
Develops internal relationships at both the consortium and hospital levels. This would include department directors and managers as necessary to understand the needs of a broad spectrum of clinical and non-clinical departments.
Works with Procurement and Contracting in the negotiation of contracts with vendors selected as requested where clinical expertise is required.
Manages vendor relationships with key stakeholders. Acts as a resource and support to the end user departments to ensure the vendor performs in accordance with the contract terms. Takes reasonable steps to ensure quality outcomes from all agreements. Where possible and appropriate, forges the relationship into a partnership such that the benefit of the agreement is optimized.
Ensures the team is operating at a high level of efficiency; utilizing process improvement techniques where appropriate. Establish measurable individual and departmental goals and objectives. Manages the Product Evaluation Committee and New item add process approvals.

MINIMUM EDUCATION QUALIFICATION
A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. Equivalent knowledge, experience, education, or training may be substituted for education.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION
Non-supervisory - Five (5) years of experience in roles with progressive responsibility in clinical operations/supply chain to include 3 years of clinical experience.
MINIMUM CERTIFICATION QUALIFICATION
Current registered nurse license in the State of Alaska.
PREFERRED EDUCATION QUALIFICATION
Masters Nursing degree
