For over 50 years -- The Glenholme School, part of Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health, has provided a comprehensive residential program and services for children with learning differences and special needs. Located in picturesque Washington, CT the School Clinician position will be part of a cohesive, passionate and dynamic team. The selected candidate will foster Devereux's mission and values of quality care as well as providing top-notch and individualized therapeutic care for our students.

Position:

We are seeking a School Clinician who has experience with the student population and is passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with learning differences and mental health/behavioral challenges. If this describes you, then look no further!

Schedule:

Monday-Friday:

    • 4 days 9am-5pm
    • 1 day 11am-7pm
    • Available for on-call Sunday-Saturday (rotation with other Clinicians)

Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide clinical services to students across a wide age range (10-22 years old) with a variety of diagnoses (e.g. autism, ADHD, anxiety, mood disorders, etc.)
  • Manage students by providing individual therapy, in-vivo coaching, family/therapy/parent coaching/education, and case management
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to establish clinical treatment goals and assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans
  • Attend IEP/CSE meetings for students and update any IEP goals, etc.
  • Modalities utilized including CBT, psychotherapy, TF-CBT, Motivational Interviewing, DBT, etc.
  • Respond to students in crisis situations and facilitates processes designed to appropriately manage the crisis and take the lead role in hospitalization cases
  • Communicate with external stakeholders, including school districts to provide regular updates regarding individuals' progress
  • Ensures timely and accurate completion of documentation to include: progress notes, resiliency plans, genograms, releases, discharge summaries, de-escalation plans, and discharge paperwork.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in social work with clinical experience (including internship experience).
  • CT LCSW or LMSW (or ability to pass LMSW exam within 90 days of hire)
  • Have or be eligible for CT School Social Worker Certification (071)
  • Valid drivers' license
  • Preferred experience with Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
  • Preferred experience providing clinical services within a residential setting.
