Established in 1998, Boston Neurobehavioral Associates(BNBA) provides comprehensive outpatient behavioral health and psychiatric care to all ages. In order to best serve the Greater Boston area, we have practice across Massachusetts, Florida, Rhode Island, Illinois, New York, New Jersey & Maryland .
Led by Mohammad Munir, MD, the team of psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, psychologists, therapists, neuropsychologists, and other medical professionals collaborate to provide well-rounded care individualized for each patient. Boston Neurobehavioral Associates providers offer care for a broad range of mental disorders and emotional difficulties.
Patients can expect an accurate diagnosis, followed by an integrative treatment plan that is tailored for their unique needs. The practice regularly cares for patients who are dealing with depression, bipolar, anxiety, insomnia, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and OCD, among other conditions.
Between individual psychotherapy, medication management, and customized lifestyle changes, patients learn to cope with their diagnosis and overcome it in time. We understand every patient has a different story that brought them to seek our care. As such, treatment plans are entirely individualized for each patient allowing them to experience optimal care.

We are looking for Clinical Rater to join our research team in Brookline, Massachusetts 
 

Position Summary
BNBA Research is seeking an experienced Primary Clinical Rater to support pediatric psychiatry clinical trials. The rater will conduct protocol-required psychiatric and behavioral assessments with children and adolescents while ensuring standardized administration, accurate scoring, and high-quality clinical research documentation.

Required Qualifications

  • LCSW, LICSW, LMHC, PhD, MSW, MHC or equivalent relevant clinical/behavioral health qualification. (Bachelor's degree required)
  • Pediatric psychiatry clinical research experience within the past 12 months.
  • Demonstrated experience administering psychiatric rating scales in pediatric/adolescent clinical trials.
  • Experience with pediatric mood disorders, particularly Bipolar Disorder and/or Major Depressive Disorder, strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of ICH-GCP and clinical research procedures.
  • Ability to complete study-specific rater training and qualification requirements.

Required/Preferred Scale Experience
Candidates should have documented experience with multiple pediatric psychiatric assessments, particularly:

K-SADS-PL, CDRS-R, C-SSRS, YMRS, CGI-S, CGI-I, HAM-A, PQ-LES-Q, AIMS, BARS, and SAS.

Priority will be given to candidates with recent hands-on experience with K-SADS-PL, CDRS-R, YMRS, AIMS, BARS, and SAS.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and score protocol-required psychiatric assessments.
  • Conduct structured clinical interviews with pediatric and adolescent participants.
  • Maintain consistency and accuracy in assessment administration and scoring.
  • Complete required source documentation and study records.
  • Participate in study-specific rater training, certification, and calibration.
  • Collaborate with investigators and the clinical research team.
  • Escalate clinically significant findings to the investigator as appropriate.
  • Maintain compliance with protocol, GCP, IRB, and BNBA Research requirements.

Preferred Experience
2+ years of CNS/psychiatry clinical research experience and prior experience serving as a primary or independent rater in pediatric clinical trials are strongly preferred. Candidates should be able to provide documentation of recent pediatric research experience and the assessment scales administered within the past 12 months.
