Job description

The IMA Group is seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Clinical Research team in Manhattan, NY as a Clinical Rater/Sub-Investigator. This role is ideal for clinicians interested in psychiatric assessment work within a structured research environment focused on patient evaluations and study support.
This is a full-time opportunity with a consistent weekday schedule and no on-call responsibilities.
Compensation:
$130,000 - $150,000 annually, based on experience, licensure, and certifications
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Complete psychiatric evaluations and administer clinical rating scales for research participants
  • Assess patient eligibility for clinical trials through structured interviews and assessments
  • Conduct physical exams and support medication management as appropriate
  • Partner with Sponsors, research staff, and study monitors throughout active trials
  • Maintain compliance with study protocols, regulatory standards, and internal procedures
  • Participate in study trainings, investigator meetings, and ongoing certification activities
Qualifications:
  • Active NP or PA license with psychiatric experience required
  • Experience conducting psychiatric assessments or structured clinical evaluations preferred
  • Interest in clinical research and evidence-based evaluation work
