Position Available: Assistant Professor – Clinical Psychology (Tenure-Track)

Research Area: Clinical Psychology | Mental Health | Behavioral Science | Psychological Research | Higher Education

Yale University is inviting applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Clinical Psychology with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2027. The Department of Psychology welcomes applicants from all areas of clinical psychology who have outstanding research programs and a strong commitment to teaching, mentoring, and academic excellence.

What You’ll Work OnClinical Psychology Research

Develop and lead an independent research program in any area of clinical psychology.

Teaching & Mentorship

Teach undergraduate psychology service courses and advanced seminar courses while mentoring undergraduate and graduate students.

Research Leadership

Contribute to Yale’s internationally recognized research environment through high-quality publications and collaborative research.

Graduate & Undergraduate Education

Support graduate training and undergraduate education through teaching, supervision, and academic mentorship.

Academic Service

Participate in departmental activities and contribute to the continued growth of Yale’s Psychology Department.

You hold a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Clinical Psychology or a closely related discipline by the time of appointment.

You have an outstanding research record with the potential to establish an internationally recognized research program.

You demonstrate excellence or strong potential in university-level teaching and student mentorship.

You possess excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
