Job description

Job Purpose: 

Under the direction of the BH Director the Supervising Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) provides clinical leadership, supervision, and direct behavioral health services to support SCIHP’s integrated, patient-centered model of care. This position collaborates with Behavioral Health, Primary Care, Traditional Wellness, Dental, and community partners to address the clinical and non-clinical needs of individuals and families through a holistic approach. The Supervising LCSW provides clinical supervision to registered and unlicensed behavioral health staff and trainees, ensures compliance with clinical, legal, ethical, and cultural standards, and supports quality improvement initiatives. The role also delivers counseling and crisis intervention services to children, youth, adults, couples, families, and groups, with a focus on trauma-informed, culturally responsive care, including support for Tribal communities and Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA) matters. Additionally, the position assists in developing programs, policies, and staff development efforts that enhance service quality, clinical outcomes, and professional growth.

Qualifications:

  • Masters Degree in Social Work with at least five (5) years experience in providing clinical supervision preferred.
  • Hold & maintain current, valid & unrestricted LCSW license to practice in the State of California.
  • Possession of Clinical Supervision Training document as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.
  • Knowledge of theory and treatment practices of intrapsychic, interpersonal and social problems; community mental health; alcohol and other drug abuse interventions; and community agencies and resources.
  • Understanding of California mandated reporting laws and strong knowledge in legal and ethical matters in clinical practice, including Medi-Cal clinical documentation, practices and billing standards.
  • Excellent teambuilding, cultural competency skills & knowledge in program planning and development.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff, clients, families and the public.
  • Ability to prepare accurate and timely documentation, reports and other written material as assigned.
  • Must be CPR certified or attend a SCIHP CPR training to become certified.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical and background investigation.
