Community Support Program Clinical Coordinator Pauquette Center for Psychological Services - Hiring for our Portage location Position & Requirements Hours: Full-time (5 days/week) Licensure Required: Licensed and Unlicensed Individuals are eligible SUMMARY: Community Support Programs offer coordinated, evidence-based care and treatment for adults who live with a severe mental illness. Services are provided in the community and aim to meet an individual's unique needs, reduce mental health symptoms and challenges in community living, and lead to recovery. Program staff focus on the values of hope, collaboration, personal choice, and respect in their work with those receiving CSP services. The Clinical Coordinator oversees the day-to-day operations of the state certified Community Support Program (CSP) within Pauquette Center. Primary duties include ensuring the provision of high quality CSP services, leading and supervising the CSP team, monitoring fidelity to WI DHS 63-the CSP standards, representing the program to the community, and providing direct services to a reduced case load of CSP consumers. The Clinical Coordinator processes referrals, and oversees program development and expansion of services. QUALIFICATIONS: ESSENTIAL Master's Degree in Social Work, Rehabilitation Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or related behavioral health field. Experience working within a Community Support Program team or with individuals with severe mental illness as defined by either: 3,000 hours of supervised clinical experience in a practice where most of the clients are adults with serious mental illness or 1,500 hours of supervised clinical experience in a CSP. Commitment to work toward improving cultural sensitivity as demonstrated by valuing diversity, recognizing personal limitations in one's competencies, and having the desire to improve. Strong commitment to principles of recovery and to facilitating consumer participation in treatment/service planning and provision. Knowledge of psychotropic medications, their effects, and side effects. Demonstrated ability to provide culturally and clinically sound case management services to people who have severe and persistent mental health, substance abuse, and co-occurring issues. Strong verbal, writing, organizational, leadership and advocacy skills. Possession of a valid driver's license, a favorable driving record, adequate insurance (per WI law) and access to an automobile. PREFERRED Psychiatrist, Psychologist, or master's degree in social work, clinical psychology or psychiatric mental health nursing or have met equivalent requirements. Experience providing mental health and substance abuse treatment to consumers who are dually diagnosed (i.e. - severe mental illness and substance use/dependence) RESPONSIBILITIES: Clinical (High Responsibility - 60% of effort) This position carries a reduced caseload. They are responsible for primary clinical case management activities of this caseload as well as teaming with other case managers on their caseloads. The ideal candidate is capable of providing psychotherapy and substance abuse treatment to clients within the CSP program as needed. Provide ongoing clinical and programmatic supervision to the CSP team through individual and group/meeting supervision. Assist with establishing consumer eligibility for services. Responsibility for the quality of community-based services provided to consumers and programmatic fidelity to DHS 63-CSP standards. Develop and maintain skillset to provide services across the lifespan. Oversee the CSP program to ensure that services are culturally sensitive, recovery oriented, trauma sensitive and honoring of the consumer's perspectives and beliefs. Coordinate with other community agencies/service providers as needed. Provide or arrange for the provision of crisis management services as clinically and programmatically appropriate and necessary. Support staff and supervisors in managing caseloads, completing paperwork and records required by administrative code, adherence to production hours guidelines, demonstrating good medical practice, and adherence to contracts with funders. Programmatic (High Responsibility - 40% of effort) Participate in Pauquette Center wide clinical and administrative meetings, committees and ad-hoc change teams as needed. Represent Pauquette Center CSP at community events or meetings as appropriate. Training and orientation of new staff, students, visitors, and volunteers. Attend in-service training and conferences as authorized and directed. Provide clinically and culturally sensitive consultation, training, and education about community-based services to other Pauquette staff and outside providers. Conduct ongoing and special chart audits for the program, including the collection of data for the reports to funders and any other required reporting. Participate in regular chart audits for clinical content and make recommendations to staff for improvement.
