Join us and help change the future of healthcare for the better./ph3Program Details/h3ulli6 week paid Externship program/li/ulh3What Youll Do/h3ulliApply Medical Assistant knowledge and skills in a real clinical environment/liliAssist the Physician, PA, or NP in support of medical care of urgent care patients./liliDay to day activities will vary from triage, answering phones, taking medical histories, to performing lab work./liliPractice clinical and administrative tasks under direct supervision/liliDevelop confidence, efficiency, and accuracy in patient care/liliGain exposure to daily clinic workflows and patient flow management/liliStrengthen communication, teamwork, and professionalism/liliDemonstrate readiness for entry-level Medical Assistant employment/li/ulh3Essential Duties Responsibilities/h3ulliDemonstrates a high level of interpersonal and communication skills necessary to consistently receive and greet visitors, patients, and staff members in a professional manner./liliPerform selected medical assisting and administrative duties./liliPerform direct patient care as instructed by the Physician, PA, or NP./liliPerform lab tests as directed by the Physician, PA, or NP./liliPrepare patients for examination and treatment.
