Sr. Site Manager- Clinical Engineering Job Summary

The Sr. Site Manager provides strategic and operational leadership for clinical engineering services at an assigned hospital or health system. This role oversees the execution of the Medical Equipment Management Plan (MEMP), ensuring high-quality service delivery, regulatory compliance, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency. The Sr. Site Manager leads, develops, and mentors clinical engineering teams while managing staffing, performance, financial results, and continuous improvement initiatives. This position serves as a key liaison between leadership, hospital executives, customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.

Sr. Site Manager- Clinical Engineering Job Responsibilities

  • Lead daily clinical engineering operations and execution of the Medical Equipment Management Plan (MEMP), ensuring service quality, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead, coach, mentor, and develop technicians, supervisors, and site managers while managing staffing, scheduling, performance, and employee engagement.
  • Manage site KPIs, including preventive maintenance, work orders, alerts, regulatory compliance, service performance, and required documentation.
  • Oversee service contracts, labor, parts, inventory, work order approvals, and financial performance, including budgets, revenue, costs, and P&L responsibilities.
  • Ensure compliance with Joint Commission and applicable regulatory requirements while prioritizing corrective actions and maintaining accurate performance documentation.
  • Identify operational and performance gaps, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions and continuous improvement strategies.
  • Build and maintain relationships with hospital executives, C-suite leaders, customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to address needs and deliver effective solutions.
  • Identify opportunities for scope expansion, business growth, and long-term service strategies while supporting customer and organizational objectives.
  • Prepare and present quarterly value reviews, system reports, operational metrics, and performance updates to customers and leadership.
  • Develop and execute site strategies, support organizational initiatives, and travel between sites as required by business needs.

Sr. Site Manager- Clinical Engineering Job Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in electronics, engineering, technology, clinical engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience, with 7+ years of management experience in clinical engineering, biomedical equipment, healthcare technology, or a similar environment.
  • Minimum 3 years of people leadership experience, with prior Site Manager experience preferred; proven ability to lead, coach, mentor, and develop technical teams and leaders.
  • Strong business understanding with experience managing budgets, financial performance, revenue, costs, labor, parts, and/or P&L responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of clinical engineering operations, medical equipment management, regulatory requirements, service processes, KPI management, and continuous improvement.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, including the ability to identify variances, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
  • Strong customer relationship and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with hospital executives, C-suite leaders, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Excellent written, verbal, analytical, organizational, and presentation skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and related business systems.
  • Ability to manage day-to-day operations while developing and executing long-term strategies within established policies and guidelines.
  • Technical certification such as A+, CBET, CRES, CLES, or CCE preferred.
  • Ability to work onsite in Albuquerque, New Mexico, with travel as required.
