  • starting range: $70,000-75,000
  • Clinical Background preferred. Urology experience preferred. Works closely with Data Analytics Chief Office and Applications Team. This position supports Data Registries, dashboard development and maintenance, and a variety of data-driven projects to enhance operational, clinical, and business performance.

The Sr. Clinical Data Analyst provides data analysis support to the customer by assisting with the development of reports and/or dashboards to monitor program and operational performance. Promotes self-service analytics for customer adoption, understanding and use of data. Supports design of programmatic analyses and reporting capabilities in addition to business requirements as directed. This position supports data quality and data stewardship functions to maintain data accuracy and identify new metrics. The Sr. Clinical Data Analyst, as a subject matter expert, uses analytic skills to offer data-driven conclusions and recommendations to business partners.


Requirements

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION/COMPETENCIES

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Requires the ability to data mine, interpret, understand, and summarize data.
  • Constructs data sets, monitors data quality, troubleshoots and resolves database issues to ensure data integrity.
  • Designs and executes clinical data collection and reporting systems.
  • Utilizes scripting and querying tools like Python, R or SQL, data visualization/BI tools, statistical methods, and data modeling to produce reports, data files, and dashboards.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders to understand their needs, objectives, and requirements.
  • Utilizes quality and performance benchmarking to achieve results.
  • Performs other position related duties as assigned.
  • Employees shall adhere to high standards of ethical conduct and will comply with and assist in complying with all applicable laws and regulations. This will include and not be limited to following the Solaris Health Code of Conduct and all Solaris Health and Affiliated Practice policies and procedures; maintaining the confidentiality of patients' protected health information in compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA); immediately reporting any suspected concerns and/or violations to a supervisor and/or the Compliance Department; and the timely completion the Annual Compliance Training.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSURES OR REGISTRY REQUIREMENTS

  • CHDA preferred.

KNOWLEDGE | SKILLS | ABILITIES

  • Willingness to learn technical side, will work closely with IT team to execute job functions.
  • Knowledgeable with medical expense and trends.
  • Knowledge of ambulatory, acute and post-acute quality, clinical performance, and operations reporting and analysis.
  • Knowledge of SQL and Tableau.
  • Creativity, strong analytical skills to identify trends with proven ability in problem definition and resolution, and tolerance for detail are essential attributes.
  • Familiar with state and federal regulatory reporting.
  • Knowledge of quality data including HEDIS reporting, interventions, and STAR ratings.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Customer-oriented with ability to remain calm in difficult situations.
  • Skill in using computer programs and applications including Microsoft Office.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in a Healthcare or related field (Nursing, Medical Assisting, etc..) preferred.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in healthcare analytics preferred.
  • Clinical Urology experience preferred
  • Experience with both healthcare claims and clinical data.
