The Division of Pediatric Hematology-Oncology at the University of Washington School of Medicine and Seattle Children's Hospital is recruiting a Pediatric Hematology-Oncology attending to join the Acute Care Oncology team in Seattle, Washington. Position is full-time at the Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor or Clinical Professor level. We seek applicants who demonstrate commitment to excellence in research, teaching, and service in a diverse and inclusive academic community. The successful candidate will join our faculty on a full-time basis for a twelve-month appointment renewable beginning fall/winter of 2026.
Responsibilities include providing in-hospital overnight attending care for medical issues arising in Hematology, Oncology, and Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant (HSCT) patients, and supervision and clinical teaching of residents. Applicants should be comfortable with the inpatient care of sick children.
Clinical Assistant, Clinical Associate Professors, and Clinical Professors hold annual appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1 - June 30) and may be reappointed to subsequent annual terms. Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July - June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off.
As the second largest Department in the UW School of Medicine, Pediatrics has twenty-one clinical divisions with approximately 1,400 academic appointments, including approximately 650 paid faculty members, 134 residents, 70 ACGME fellows, 230 staff employees and over 600 volunteer/affiliate faculty and continues to grow each year. The Department of Pediatrics is a close affiliate of Seattle Children's Hospital (SCH) and Seattle Children's Research Institute (SCRI). Faculty members appointed in the Department are located at various institutions (including Seattle Children's, UW Medicine, and FHCRC) and are part of the Children's University Medical Group (CUMG) clinical practice plan.
The successful candidate will be expected to

• Provide in hospital overnight attending care for medical issues arising in Hematology, Oncology, and Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant (HSCT) patients.
• Provide supervision and clinical teaching to residents.
• Be comfortable with the inpatient care of sick children.

All University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research and service.
Candidates will be considered across a range of interests in Hematology and Oncology including Acute Care Oncology.
The base salary range for this position will be: Clinical Assistant Professors $13,085 - $19,627 per month ($157,020 - $235,524 annually), Clinical Associate Professors $16,168 - $24,250 per month ($194,016 - $291,000 annually), Clinical Professors $20,335 - $30,502 per month ($244,020 - $366,024 annually) commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. This range is inclusive of base salary provided through the Children's University Medical Group (CUMG) practice plan, in addition to base salary provided by the University. Please note that only compensation provided by the University is included in university benefit determinations and calculations. Other compensation associated with this position may include incentive through Children's University Medical Group practice plan.
Compensation provided by Children's University Medical Group (CUMG) practice plan may provide eligibility for separate benefits offered by that organization. Additional administrative responsibilities may be offered to a specific candidate with appropriate experience and qualifications which may result in an administrative supplement (ADS).

Qualifications
Applicants for this position must meet the following minimum qualifications:

• Applicants must have an MD, DO or foreign equivalent degree, pediatric board certification, and board-eligibility/board-certification in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology.
• Must be currently licensed as a physician and eligible for licensure as a physician in the state of Washington.

To be eligible for university sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion of all 3 steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE) or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
