Job Overview

The Manager Clinical Application Services is responsible for leading a team of clinical application analysts responsible for the day-to-day operations and support of clinical applications. Works with leadership and the team to evaluate, plan, design, develop, implement, maintain, support and train the clinical information systems used at The Children's Hospital (TCH). Serves as a leader and liaison for key leadership groups in the organization.

We are seeking a dynamic and adaptable professional with strong operational IT knowledge and the ability to effectively partner with a broad range of stakeholders across the organization. The ideal candidate combines leadership capability, with a proven ability to navigate changing priorities, build relationships, and drive results in a fast-paced environment. Success in this role requires strong communication skills, corporate professionalism, and the ability to collaborate across both technical and non-technical teams.
Additional Information
Hours per Week: 40, eligible for benefits (Salaried)
Shift: Monday-Friday, 8am - 5pm. Work hours may vary based on the needs of the department. This position will also support an on-call rotation and may require weekend or holiday support for incidents and on-call coverage.

  • This is a hybrid position, which does require you to live in the state of Colorado.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide timely and accurate report of activities and time.
  • Maintain ongoing end user support for applications in area of responsibility.
  • Create and sustain a quality team through strong communication and collaboration within the department/division. Maintain effectiveness of the team by utilizing individual skill sets to meet specific organizational demands.
  • Identify opportunities for personal growth and development within the team. Mentor staff to achieved identified goals. Assist in plans and guides along with feedback to achieve goals formulated.
  • Improve efficiency within the department to lower costs, improve performances and meet delivery timelines. Oversee staff activities in reviewing business/clinical workflow improvement efforts.
  • Establish and convey clear priorities, goals and expectations for the team through effective communication and alignment of priorities within the organization.
  • Oversee work by team to maintain adherence to established processes and procedures, accountability to commitments and achievement of expected outcomes.
  • Identify project needs, scope and estimate resource requirements. Plan and manage expectations.
  • Under the direction of the department director, identify opportunities for cost savings with the department. Participate in budget review and assist in preparation of capital and operating budgets. Solicit scoping and pricing from vendors as needed.
  • Active participation in department and divisional leadership groups to set vision and goals. Assist in aligning team with divisional and organizational priorities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education:
    • High School diploma or GED
  • Experience:
    • Five (5) years IT experience with preference for healthcare IT experience
  • Certification(s):
    • Epic required within four months of hire to maintain employment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience partnering with or supporting IT, Strategy, Finance, Legal, and Compliance functions.
  • Strong understanding of IT operations and technology-related business processes.
  • Experience with Epic systems is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and build credibility with diverse stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Background in sales, consulting, account management, or other relationship-focused roles is highly preferred.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to adapt quickly, manage ambiguity, and drive outcomes.
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and influencing skills.


Salary Information
Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.
Annual Salary Range (Based on 40 hours worked per week): $126,698.59 to $190,047.88
