This role involves developing and validating next-generation HVACR technologies with a focus on energy efficiency, sustainability, manufacturability, and regulatory compliance.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about emerging technologies, system-level design, and solving complex thermal and mechanical challenges.
DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
  • Lead and support the mechanical design, analysis, and prototyping of advanced HVACR components and systems (e.g., compressors, heat exchangers, fans, enclosures).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (controls, electrical, materials, software) to develop integrated solutions.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, concept development, and performance simulations (CFD, FEA, thermodynamic models).
  • Evaluate new materials, design approaches, and processes to enhance product performance and manufacturability.
  • Develop and execute test plans for lab validation and performance characterization.
  • Participate in technical reviews, design for manufacturability (DFM), and risk assessment (FMEA).
  • Work closely with external research institutions, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to drive innovation.
  • Maintain awareness of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes (e.g., low-GWP refrigerants, DOE standards).
  • Document technical work through reports, specifications, and intellectual property (patents, invention disclosures).
