Sustainability, Climate and Equity Analyst

• This Analyst is responsible for developing and executing organization-wide strategies that empower business units to excel in their respective markets. This role shapes organic growth agendas, influences market positioning, and architects' inorganic enterprise growth through mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and restructuring. The Analyst leads workforce strategies, portfolio rebalancing, and enterprise transformation initiatives to ensure long-term competitiveness and resilience. By integrating strategic vision with deep sustainability expertise, the Analyst enables organizations to achieve transformative growth, meet climate and sustainability objectives, and thrive in a rapidly evolving business landscape. Provides specialized support in areas including but not limited to climate risk and adaptation, natural resource management, urban resilience, sustainable supply chain, renewable energy, and decarbonization strategy.

Deloitte's Government & Public Services practice serves government agencies, higher education institutions, nonprofit organizations, and other public sector organizations. Teams work across strategy, operations, technology, and transformation efforts to help clients improve mission outcomes and organizational performance. Professionals in the practice have opportunities to build specialized experience while working in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.

Qualifications

Required:

• Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and expected to graduate by Summer 2027 or have completed a bachelor's degree or higher in Energy Policy, Environmental Sciences/Studies, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability or an equivalent program
• Strong academic track record (3.0 cumulative GPA required)
• You must reside within a commutable distance (e.g. 100-mile radius) of your assigned office with the ability to commute daily, if required
• Ability to travel 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
• Candidates must be at least 18 years of age at the time of employment.

Preferred:

• 3.4 cumulative GPA preferred
• Internship, project, or coursework experience in energy policy, environmental sciences/studies, environmental engineering, or sustainability

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $84,000 to $87,000.
