Under the supervision of the Executive Producer in Los Angeles, the main role of the Post-Production Producer is to produce all advertising projects for the Los Angeles ADS team. He.She will ensure to be present in the studio for all client sessions. In collaboration with the Executive Producer and other Rodeo FX team members, he.she will be quoting on potential VFX opportunities. The person will ensure the proper management of the budget and post-production schedules for each project under his.her responsibility.
Main responsibilities:
  • In collaboration with the global ADS team, participate in the bidding process for all advertising opportunities;
  • Produce advertising projects for Los Angeles, establish timelines and manage the VFX/post production schedule;
  • Crew planning related tasks: sketch the bookings for potential projects, add bookings to artists for confirmed projects, participate in the weekly resource meeting for ADS, etc.;
  • Help set-up workflow and processes for grading and online sessions;
  • In collaboration with various departments, assign key talent to projects, organize kick-off meeting with HOD and crew planning team;
  • Make sure all projects are rolling smoothly : tasks created and assigned to artists, artists estimate and timelogs are properly entered, etc. Work closely with a coordinator when needed;
  • Communicate regularly with clients on the status of projects and create a positive and collaborative working relationship;
  • Oversee the progress and efficiency of projects, ensure full tracking of the schedule and budget and ensure Shotgrid is up to date at all times;
  • Anticipate time and budget issues and client requested changes that may arise; adjust quotes and schedule based on client requests/additions;
  • Maintain regular communication with the production team on all important project information;
  • Collaborate to post-mortem meetings, identify areas for improvement and ensure that all issues are addressed;
  • In collaboration with the Executive Producer, support on business development initiatives;
  • Actively monitor the work climate within his/her team and take steps to encourage and ensure a positive work environment and adherence to company values;
  • Produce Film & Episodic VFX project when needed;
  • All other tasks related to the position.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in a similar position, in post-production in the advertising sector;
  • Relevant experience in visual effects and knowledge of the VFX process required;
  • Knowledge of Shotgrid project management software is an asset;
  • Knowledge of GSuite and Monday, an asset;
  • Demonstrated positive leadership and strong teamwork skills;
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills;
  • Good ability to manage stress under pressure and maintain a positive and composed attitude;
  • Excellent sense of priorities and respect for deadlines and budgets;
  • Must be available for occasional travel.
