Based in the LyondellBasell Corporate Headquarters in Houston, this internship is designed to give you a deep understanding of various corporate functions, all while honing your skills in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

What You Can Expect:

  • Hands-On Experience: Assist our Employee & Digital Communications team with projects related to employee communications, media relations, metrics and analytics, social media, and employee volunteerism and events.
  • Corporate Communications: Play a key role in rolling out and educating employees on the company's goals related to climate change and plastics circularity.
  • Content Creation: Research and write news stories, develop content, and coordinate volunteer events. You'll also get the chance to write articles, blogs, and social media posts, as well as edit copy.
  • Media Monitoring & Video Production: Use tools like Sprinklr to monitor media channels during crises and contribute to video creation/editing for various platforms.
  • Collaborative Environment: Participate in brainstorm sessions, client meetings, and department meetings, all while working closely with a team of professionals dedicated to your growth.

What We Expect:

  • Current enrollment or recent graduate in Communications, Marketing or a related field
  • Overall GPA of 3.0 or greater.
  • Attention to Detail & Creativity
  • Strong Writing Skills, Critical Thinking and Teamwork
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, internet applications, and social media platforms. Familiarity with Adobe Procreate, iMovie, Canva is a plus.
  • Fluent in English is required, and proficiency in French or German is a plus.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship for employment visa status.
