Job description


Job Summary
onsemi is seeking a highly motivated Logistics Manager to lead Americas transportation operations and logistics support for manufacturing and business operations across our global supply chain network. This position serves as the primary logistics escalation point for internal sites, ensuring the timely movement of materials, wafers, finished goods, capital equipment, and critical shipments while supporting operational continuity and customer commitments.
The Logistics Manager will oversee day-to-day transportation operations, carrier performance, freight spend management, site support activities, and logistics escalation management. The ideal candidate is a hands-on operational leader who can effectively partner with manufacturing, planning, procurement, customer service, and logistics providers to ensure seamless execution across a dynamic global environment.
Key Responsibilities
The Logistics Manager will be responsible for the following functions within the Logistics Group of the Supply Chain organization:
  • Serve as the primary logistics contact for America's manufacturing and business sites.
  • Support site operations by ensuring timely transportation execution for inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Manage logistics escalations involving shipment delays, customs issues, carrier service failures, capacity constraints, and critical customer requirements.
  • Partner closely with Manufacturing, Planning, Procurement, Customer Service, Warehouse Operations, and Trade Compliance teams to resolve transportation challenges.
  • Lead daily operational reviews of critical shipments and expedite activities.
  • Monitor carrier performance and drive corrective actions to improve service, responsiveness, and reliability.
  • Manage onsemi's Freight Audit and Pay (FAP) operations to ensure transportation invoices are processed accurately and efficiently.
  • Support transportation providers in addressing operational issues impacting site performance.
  • Identify and implement process improvements that improve transportation execution, shipment visibility, and operational efficiency.
  • Support business continuity planning and logistics contingency actions during supply disruptions, capacity shortages, weather events, or other transportation-related risks.
  • Support implementation and maintenance of Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) and other logistics systems.
  • Lead, coach, and develop logistics personnel while fostering a culture of accountability, customer focus, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications
Required Experience & Skills
  • 5+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain operations, or manufacturing support.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience managing teams or leading operational initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of domestic and international transportation operations.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, distribution, or semiconductor operations in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage transportation escalations and drive issue resolution across multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make decisions under pressure.
  • Experience managing carrier relationships and transportation service performance.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to balance tactical operational support with long-term process improvement initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting semiconductor manufacturing operations.
  • Experience with Oracle Transportation Management (OTM).
  • Experience with Freight Audit and Pay (FAP) programs.
  • Knowledge of parcel, air freight, ocean freight, truckload, and LTL transportation modes.
  • Experience with logistics KPIs, transportation analytics, and operational reporting.
  • Experience managing logistics providers and global transportation networks.
  • Experience with Power BI or similar reporting and visualization tools.
