The Food Server - Cliff House is responsible for delivering an exceptional dining experience within Wynn Golf Club's premier restaurant destination. Combining elevated cuisine with the unique atmosphere of a luxury golf environment, Cliff House serves resort guests, golfers, members, tournament participants, and VIP patrons seeking personalized and attentive service.
This role serves as the primary point of contact throughout the guest experience, providing expert menu guidance, refined service execution, and genuine hospitality. The Food Server is expected to anticipate guest needs, build meaningful guest connections, and deliver service that reflects Wynn's Forbes Five-Star standards while embodying the welcoming and sophisticated culture of Wynn Golf Club.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Experience & Service Delivery
  • Provide attentive, personalized service to guests throughout all phases of the dining experience
  • Anticipate guest needs and preferences to create a seamless and memorable experience
  • Maintain a polished, professional presence consistent with Wynn's luxury hospitality standards
  • Build rapport with resort guests, golfers, members, and VIP patrons to encourage guest loyalty and repeat visits

Order Taking & Menu Expertise

  • Provide informed recommendations based on guest preferences, occasions, and dining goals
  • Clearly communicate menu descriptions, ingredients, preparations, and featured specialties
  • Maintain knowledge of seasonal menu changes, golf event offerings, and specialty dining programs
  • Promote signature menu items and beverage pairings to enhance the guest experience

Food & Beverage Service
  • Execute proper fine dining sequence of service while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
  • Deliver food and beverages according to established presentation and service standards
  • Perform wine, cocktail, and beverage service in accordance with luxury dining expectations
  • Monitor tables continuously to ensure proper pacing of courses and overall guest satisfaction

Table Maintenance & Service Precision
  • Maintain clean, organized, and impeccably presented tables throughout service

  • Monitor and maintain table settings, glassware, linens, and service details

Guest Relations & Service Recovery
  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest questions, concerns, and special requests
  • Partner with management to execute service recovery solutions when necessary
  • Deliver consistent, personalized service to all guests, including VIPs, members, and tournament participants
  • Support special celebrations, private events, and customized guest experiences
  • Exercise discretion and professionalism when handling guest concerns

Coordination & Team Collaboration
  • Work collaboratively with hosts, food runners, bussers, bartenders, culinarians, and management to ensure exceptional service
  • Effectively communicate guest preferences, allergies, dietary restrictions, and special requests
  • Participate in pre-shift meetings and team briefings regarding VIP guests, golf events, tournaments, and daily priorities
  • Support special functions, member events, and golf-related dining experiences as needed
  • Foster a positive team environment focused on operational excellence and guest satisfaction

Financial & Operational Responsibilities
  • Accurately process guest checks and complete all financial transactions according to department procedures
  • Promote menu items, wine selections, specialty beverages, and featured offerings to drive sales
  • Support departmental revenue goals through thoughtful upselling and guest engagement
  • Maintain accountability for all transactions, cash handling procedures, and payment processing
  • Complete side work, opening duties, and closing responsibilities accurately and efficiently

  • Adhere to all Wynn grooming, appearance, and uniform standards
  • Follow all health, safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service regulations
  • Uphold Forbes Five-Star service standards and Wynn's luxury hospitality expectations
  • Execute all responsibilities in accordance with company policies and departmental procedures
  • Act as an ambassador of Wynn Las Vegas, Cliff House, and Wynn Golf Club by demonstrating a commitment to luxury hospitality and exceptional guest service

Qualifications
Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2-3+ years of experience as a server in a fine dining restaurant, luxury hospitality environment, private club, golf club, or upscale food and beverage operation preferred
  • Strong background in upscale dining, wine service, luxury hospitality, or member-focused service environments preferred
  • Experience serving high-profile guests, members, or VIP clientele preferred
  • Candidates must be at least 21 years of age

Knowledge & Skills
  • Advanced knowledge of food, wine, cocktails, and beverage service
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
