Job description

We are looking for an experienced Associate Director, Social Analytics to lead our analytics team and help clients turn complex data into meaningful business decisions. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our analytics practice by developing talent, establishing scalable processes, and delivering strategic insights that drive client success and business growth. You will partner closely with Client Services and technical teams to build strong client relationships, identify opportunities for innovation, and ensure analytics You will report to the Head of Marketing Analytics.


This role is open to fully remote candidates in the United States. Travel will be required up to 5% to client sites.

Responsibilities

Client Partnership & Business Growth

  • Build trusted relationships with clients by serving as a strategic analytics partner and translating complex data into clear, actionable recommendations.

  • Partner closely with Client Services and technical teams to deliver integrated analytics solutions that align with client goals.

  • Present insights and recommendations with confidence, helping clients understand performance, identify opportunities, and make data-driven decisions.

  • Identify opportunities to deepen client partnerships, contribute to account growth, and support new business initiatives.

Analytics Strategy & Delivery

  • Develop measurement strategies, reporting frameworks, and performance insights that help clients make informed business decisions.

  • Balance strategic thinking with hands-on analytics work, providing guidance on complex client challenges and ensuring high-quality deliverables.

  • Drive innovation by identifying opportunities to automate reporting, improve workflows, and scale analytics capabilities.

  • Champion best practices that strengthen data quality, reporting consistency, and operational excellence.

  • Identify opportunities to leverage AI, automation, and emerging technologies to improve efficiency, reporting, and client value.

People Development & Operational Excellence

  • Own the performance, development, and operational success of the analytics team.

  • Lead analytics operations, including resource planning, team prioritization, workload management, and continuous improvement of delivery processes.

  • Monitor utilization, delivery quality, and profitability while partnering with leadership on staffing and growth planning.

  • Establish scalable team processes, reporting cadences, and best practices that improve consistency, efficiency, and quality across the analytics function.

  • Set clear expectations, provide ongoing feedback, and support the professional growth and success of your team.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to strengthen collaboration and continuously improve how analytics supports the business.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus 9 years of relevant experience; at least 3 years of experience leading a team

  • Demonstrated success leading analytics teams in an agency, consulting, or other fast-paced professional services environment.

  • Familiarity with social listening tools 

  • Strong experience with digital analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Looker and/or Tableau.

  • Proven ability to communicate complex data through compelling storytelling and build trusted client relationships.

  • Experience developing scalable analytics processes and driving continuous improvement.

  • Healthcare agency or life sciences experience is preferred.
