Overview:
Visa Consulting and Analytics (VCA) drives tangible, impactful and financial results for Visa's network clients, including both financial services and merchants. Drawing on our expertise in strategy consulting, data analytics, brand management, marketing, operational and macroeconomics, Visa Consulting and Analytics solves the most strategic problems for our clients.
The North America Consulting Practice within VCA provides deep expertise in the banking, payments & analytics industry to provide solutions and insights that assist clients with their key business priorities, drive growth and improve profitability. The VCA team provides a comprehensive range of consulting services to deliver solutions that address unique challenges in areas such as improving profitability, strategic growth, customer experience, digital payments and managing risk.
The VCA team is looking for a Manager to join our Travel & Entertainment segment and serve as the day-to-day consulting project lead for high-impact client engagements across the North America region. This individual will be responsible for leading complex consulting projects from scoping through delivery, coordinating cross-functional teams, managing client and internal stakeholders, and ensuring that work is delivered on time, with high quality, and with actionable business impact.
The ideal candidate will bring experience, knowledge, or a demonstrated interest in the travel industry, including areas such as airlines, lodging, cruise, online travel agencies, or broader travel and entertainment commerce.
Potential engagements will include payments strategy, benchmarking analysis, product development and launch, customer life cycle analytics (acquisition, engagement, retention), audience creation and personalization, loyalty optimization, propensity modeling and geospatial insights to name a few.
Essential Functions:
  • Lead and manage consulting project delivery, serving as the primary day-to-day owner for assigned client engagements:
  • Lead consulting initiatives, managing cross-functional project teams and delivering upon engagement commitments
  • Collaborate with peers in other functional areas (e.g., data science, product, marketing, sales, risk) and across global and regional teams to execute projects
  • Create a storyline to help the client link insights to recommendations
  • Develop frameworks, approaches and recommendations that effectively address the most impactful opportunities and challenges of our clients
  • Build solutions and actionable insights that will help clients to grow their portfolios and customer engagement in their core business.
  • Produce insights, analyses and recommendations to improve client performance, boost growth, drive understanding of client issues and provide strategic guidance for client priorities across the verticals and segments.
  • Manipulate and analyze large data sets, including industry and Visa data, to identify meaningful insights and develop recommendations for clients.
  • Support the development of a pipeline of work with North America Travel & Entertainment clients
    • Contribute to selling, scoping and delivering client engagements in partnership with immediate team members and Visa partners.
    • Work with team leads to identify potential opportunities with T&E clients and contribute to closing deals for engagement work.
    • Support the setup of new projects through internal Visa processes, including contract writing, legal/funding approvals, and updates required for proper revenue recognition.
  • Bring travel industry experience, travel-related client experience, or a demonstrated interest in the travel and entertainment sector, with the ability to quickly build fluency in key terminology, business models, customer journeys, loyalty dynamics, and data attributes across verticals such as airlines, lodging, cruise, online travel agencies, and other travel-related merchants.
  • Build a deep understanding of clients' businesses and stay abreast with industry trends/developments to strengthen VCA's position as a strategic partner
  • Partner with peers in other functional areas to execute projects in ways that leverage the breadth and depth of Visa's resources
  • Engage with Visa internal teams in regular strategic & planning discussions.
  • Build new scalable solutions, toolkits, best practice documents and consulting approach that can be applied across VCA practice
  • Leverage AI and other technical tools to create efficiencies in day-to-day work and project delivery.

Incumbents applying for the role should be self-motivated, highly accountable and energized, detail-oriented individuals. Candidates must be able to develop enduring, strategic relationships with internal and external clients and across the Visa organization. This is an individual contributor role.
Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
  • 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a bachelor's degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 6 or more years of work experience with a bachelor's degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in payments, financial services, consulting, travel, hospitality, loyalty, co-brands, merchants, or related areas.
  • Demonstrated experience leading consulting projects or complex strategic initiatives from scoping through delivery, including managing workplans, timelines, stakeholders, risks, and executive-ready deliverables.
  • Proven ability to serve as the day-to-day project lead, driving work forward with limited oversight while escalating key decisions, issues, and risks appropriately.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, including data science, analytics, product, marketing, sales, risk, finance, or technology teams, to deliver data-driven business outcomes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data, identify meaningful insights, and translate findings into actionable client recommendations.
  • Experience or demonstrated interest in the travel and entertainment industry strongly preferred, including airlines, lodging, cruise, online travel agencies, travel loyalty, co-brand portfolios, or travel-related merchant commerce.
  • Knowledge and understanding of payments, banking, card issuing, acquiring, processor businesses, payment schemes, marketing initiatives, or customer lifecycle strategies preferred.
  • Strong consulting skills, including structuring ambiguous problems, developing frameworks, creating compelling storylines, and presenting recommendations to senior internal or client stakeholders.
  • Collaborative, diplomatic, flexible, and effective in a matrixed organization, with strong executive presence, communication skills, accountability, and ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently.

Information for US Applicants
For roles located in the US, the estimated salary range for this position is $114,400.00 to $ 183,000.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
