Job DetailsAbout Salesforce

Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn’t a buzzword — it’s a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.

Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You’re in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.

About the Role

Salesforce is looking for a Pre-Sales Solution Engineer with deep Master Data Management expertise to join our SMB Solution Engineering team. In this role, you will be the technical authority on MDM within a fast-moving, high-volume SMB segment — helping customers understand how trusted, governed master data unlocks business value.

You will partner directly with Account Executives throughout the sales cycle — leading technical discovery, delivering tailored demonstrations and Proofs of Concept, and making architectural recommendations that connect MDM solutions to real business outcomes. You will also play a bridge role between MuleSoft and Informatica, helping the team and our customers think creatively about combined GTM motions.

Role Essentials
  • Proven experience in a technical sales or delivery role designing, configuring, and demonstrating Master Data Management solutions
  • Understanding of MDM fundamentals, including:
    • Identity & Entity Resolution: Deterministic vs. probabilistic matching, deduplication rules, survivorship strategy design
    • Data Modeling: Multi-domain data modeling, parent-child hierarchies, relationship graphs, and taxonomy design
    • Governance & Workflows: Configurable workflows, data stewardship, task management, reference data and data quality integration
    • Data Integration: Ingress/egress and real-time interaction with master data
    • Headless MDM: Familiarity with exposing MDM services via MCP endpoints or REST APIs to feed structured, trusted master data into external multi-agent systems
What You’ll Do
  • Build trusted relationships with AEs and customers to qualify deals, identify business value, and provide technical guidance
  • Conduct technical discovery to document, analyze, and clarify business and MDM-specific requirements
  • Deliver solution demonstrations, whiteboarding sessions, architecture workshops, and Proofs of Concept that showcase MDM capabilities in the context of SMB integration challenges
  • Respond to RFI/RFP documents independently
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Product Marketing to continuously improve our MDM and Data Foundation offerings
  • Stay ahead of the evolving MDM, iPaaS, and AI landscape; maintain a sharp understanding of competitive positioning
What We’re Looking For
  • Strong presentation and discovery skills; comfortable in front of technical and non-technical audiences at all levels
  • Ability to establish trust with customers and influence key decision makers
  • Experience with cloud technologies — iPaaS, SaaS, cloud infrastructure
  • Experience building and delivering PoCs and responding to RFIs/RFPs independently
  • Ability to lead architectural discussions
  • Comfort operating in a high-volume, high-ambiguity SMB environment
  • Degree or equivalent relevant experience; experience evaluated on core competencies
Required Qualifications
  • B.S. Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS
  • Knowledge of related applications, relational database and web technology
  • Solid oral, written, presentation, collaboration and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team to solve technical problems in varied political environments
  • Minimum of 4 years of professional experience
Preferred
  • Salesforce or Informatica certifications
  • Previous SE or Sales Engineering experience
  • Familiarity with MuleSoft and/or Informatica product portfolio
