Position Summary
The OAS Associate will support the Outsourced Accounting Services team by performing a variety of accounting, bookkeeping, reporting, payroll, client service functions. This individual will work directly with supervisors, senior associates, managers, and clients to deliver high-quality accounting services while developing both technical expertise and client-facing skills. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, technology-savvy, and eager to learn. They are motivated to grow professionally, take ownership of their work, and contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities
Client Accounting & Financial Reporting
  • Perform diversified accounting assignments under the direction of supervisors and senior team members.
  • Prepare and maintain accounting records, general ledgers, workpapers, and supporting documentation.
  • Assist in the preparation of entity and individual financial statements and customized client reports.
  • Support cash flow reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis initiatives.
  • Prepare and/or review quarterly and annual informational and non-tax filings.
  • Assist with the creation of monthly financial reports and summaries.

Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable & Cash Management
  • Track, monitor, and reconcile payable invoices.
  • Process accounts payable transactions and assist with vendor payments.
  • Handle accounts receivable activities and customer invoicing.
  • Assist with banking, cash management, and client bill payment services.
  • Utilize QuickBooks Online and related cloud-based technologies to manage client accounting functions.

Payroll & Compliance Support
  • Assist with payroll tracking and monitoring of payroll withholdings.
  • Support payroll-related accounting functions and reconciliations.
  • Process sales and use tax filings and related compliance activities.
  • Coordinate accounting information/client deliverables with firm's tax department.

Reconciliations & Record Maintenance
  • Assist with reconciliation of bank accounts, investment accounts, and other balance sheet accounts.
  • Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting schedules.
  • Prepare organized work papers and supporting documentation.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial information.

Technology & Process Improvement
  • Develop proficiency with Reynolds + Rowella's systems, technology, and workflows.
  • Leverage QuickBooks Online and other cloud-based technologies to improve efficiency and reporting.
  • Seek opportunities to improve processes and enhance client service delivery.
  • Remain current with accounting technology and industry best practices.

Required - Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting required; master's degree in accounting preferred.
  • 3-5 years of accounting, bookkeeping, outsourced accounting, client accounting services, tax, or public accounting experience.
  • Experience utilizing QuickBooks Online or other cloud-based accounting software.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
