Job description

If you've spent years in financial services and the part you actually love is the client work, not the scoreboard, this might be worth a close look. We're adding a Licensed Client Service Associate to our team at The Financial Center and we're looking for someone who wants to go deep on serving clients well.

Who We Are

The Financial Center is a boutique financial services firm in Novi, MI. We take the work seriously and each other a little less so. The office is team-oriented, professional, and genuinely enjoyable to be part of. We've built a reputation on doing right by our clients, and we want someone who's ready to be a real part of that.

What You'll Do

This is not a back-office role. You’ll work directly with our advisory team to support and strengthen client relationships while also meeting with clients in a consultative, service-focused capacity. You'll leverage your own industry experience to help deliver exceptional client support and guidance. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with clients and building relationships, but prefers a service-oriented environment rather than one driven by product sales or production quotas.

Day to day, you'll:

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, handling requests and following through until they're fully resolved
  • Support meeting prep: pulling account information, preparing notes, and getting materials ready so advisors walk in ready to go
  • Assist with new client onboarding and the paperwork that comes with it
  • Meet with clients directly in a service and planning capacity, with responsibilities that expand as you build familiarity with the book
  • Keep client documentation accurate and current
  • Make sure compliance tasks are completed correctly and on schedule
  • Collaborate with our Financial Advisors, CSA, and Sales Assistant to keep things running smoothly

Requirements

What We're Looking For

  • Active Series 7 required; we are not in a position to re-register lapsed licenses
  • 5 or more years of experience in financial services
  • Familiarity with AssetMark and Advicent is a strong plus
  • Comfortable with CRM systems and Microsoft Office
  • Someone who wants to serve clients long-term, not someone using this as a pit stop back to production

Who You Are

You know financial services well. You probably came up on the advisor or registered rep side and realized that what you actually love is the client relationship, not the prospecting grind. You're detail-oriented, calm when things get busy, and people genuinely enjoy working with you. You communicate clearly, follow through consistently, and you don't rattle easily. You're ready to plug into a team that already runs well and help make it better.

Benefits

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base salary: $77,000-$95,000 DOE
  • 401(k) with 3% employer match
  • 14 days PTO
  • Healthcare allowance
  • Growth potential as the service advising component of the role expands

How to Apply

Submit your resume to apply. We'll reach out to candidates who look like a strong fit.
