Job description

Make a Difference When It Matters Most.

At Emergency Veterinary Care Centers (EVCC), we show up for pets and the people who love them on some of their hardest days.

If you thrive in fast-paced environments, believe teamwork makes the difference, and want to work somewhere your voice truly matters — this could be your place.

Who We Are EVCC was created by veterinarians, for veterinarians — and for the communities they serve. Founded by 36 local general practice veterinarians (many still actively involved today), we were built to support the veterinary community, not compete with it.

Our Westville location was our first location and we are AHAA accredited! We are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, ensuring pets always have access to lifesaving treatment — weekend or not.

But what truly defines EVCC isn't just what we do — it's how we do it.

WE
  • Lead with compassion
  • Support each other without ego
  • Communicate openly and professionally
  • Value every role on the team
  • Recognize that emergency medicine is demanding — and take care of our team because of it
What Life Is Like at EVCC We genuinely care about whoever walks through our doors — whether it's a critical patient, an anxious pet parent, or a teammate who needs support during a tough shift.

Emergency medicine is intense. It's emotional. It's unpredictable.

But it's also deeply meaningful.

As a Client Service Representative, you are often the very first and last interaction a client has with our hospital. You are the steady, compassionate presence in moments of fear and uncertainty. You are not "just the front desk." You are the heartbeat of the client experience.

Your voice matters here. Your growth is encouraged. Your role is essential.

Your Role as a Client Service Representative (CSR) - PART TIME As a CSR at EVCC, you are the bridge between our medical team and the families we serve. You help create clarity in chaos, provide empathy in stressful moments, and ensure the hospital runs smoothly from the front lines.

Whether you're new to veterinary medicine or bringing years of experience, our CSRs are the backbone of our EVCC team. If you love animals and enjoy helping people, this is an opportunity to build a meaningful, long-term career in veterinary medicine.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

You:

  • Are positive and approachable
  • Are a team player
  • Have excellent communication and multi-tasking skills
  • Are energized by a fast-paced environment
  • Possess a strong desire to learn and grow
  • Are able to work Sunday - Tuesday shifts (4p-2a)
WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Anticipate client needs and provide empathetic, timely service
  • Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients and the clinical team
  • Greet clients and ensure they are seen by a doctor as promptly as possible
  • Help clients understand and navigate financial options
  • Support smooth workflow and case progression through strong teamwork
  • Coordinate with referring veterinarians and expedite medical records
  • Accurately input client and patient information
  • Process payments and maintain detailed records
  • Keep the front desk area clean, organized, and welcoming
  • Ensure clients leave with clarity, confidence, and a positive experience

This role requires emotional intelligence, resilience, organization, and heart.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • 2+ years of experience in a client service role
  • Previous veterinary experience is a bonus, but not required
  • Advanced proficiency in computer programs and practice management software
  • Ability to remain calm and compassionate in high-stress situations
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and multitasking skills
  • Team player with a flexible, can-do attitude
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
How We Invest In You We believe people do their best work when they feel valued and supported.

We offer:

  • Competitive compensation (depending on experience) including base and 401K match
  • Comprehensive health and wellness benefits that start on day one
  • Flexible work schedules to support your life outside of work
  • Paid Time Off (PTO) because we truly believe in TREAT YOUR SELF mentality
  • Pet Discounts because your furry friends matter too
  • A BIG focus on learning and growing, we offer continuing education (CE) allowance, so we are always delivering state of the art medicine to our patients
  • Mentorship and real career growth opportunities
  • And the little (big) things, like comfy scrubs and cool EVCC swag
If You're Looking For…A hospital where:
  • Your skills are respected
  • Your growth is supported
  • Your team has your back
  • Your work truly matters

We'd love to meet you.
