Position Overview:
Looking to gain real-world experience in financial services while building skills that will benefit you long after graduation? Our State Farm agency is seeking a motivated Financial Services Intern to support our Investment Planning Services (IPS) and life insurance team.
This internship offers hands-on exposure to customer communication, financial services, insurance, and business operations. You'll work alongside experienced professionals, participate in client meetings, and help deliver an outstanding customer experience - all while developing valuable professional skills.
Whether you're exploring a career in financial services, insurance, sales, or business, this internship provides meaningful experience in a supportive, team-oriented environment.
What You'll Do:
  • Customer Outreach
    • Contact existing agency customers using a structured outreach process (no cold calling)
    • Introduce our Investment Planning Services
    • Schedule a minimum of four Investment Planning appointments each week
    • Maintain accurate outreach and scheduling records
  • Client Meeting Support
    • Attend Investment Planning appointments with advisors
    • Take detailed meeting notes and capture key discussion points
    • Track action items and follow-up tasks
    • Help create a professional, customer-focused experience
  • Administrative & Operational Support
    • Assist with applications, documentation, and post-meeting follow-up
    • Coordinate next steps with team members
    • Keep customer communications organized and professional
    • Utilize agency technology and systems to improve efficiency
