Job description

Senior Client Representative

As a member of the client service team, the Senior Client Representative role provides an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to provide family members, under the supervision of the CFSO, consultative, strategic, and tactical services around personal, family, financial, operational, and/or lifestyle management decisions by advising, overseeing, and delivering a wide range of services and solutions to clients, entities, and trusts.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist with evaluating client's overall financial situation and identify opportunities and risks. With supervision, make financial recommendations and assist with implementation.
  • Working with internal and external resources and advisors, provide seamless delivery of exceptional service to clients including involvement in: Financial reporting and stewardship
  • Tax compliance and planning
  • Wealth management and wealth transfer planning (i.e., estate and charitable planning)
  • Family entity oversight, corporate structuring, and governance
  • Family education
  • Risk Management (i.e., insurance programs and coverage)
  • Real estate and property events (purchase, sale, financing, property management, construction project oversight, etc.)

Lifestyle services

  • Under the supervision of the CFSO, participate in family member meetings regarding financial and estate planning, budgets/cash flow, investments, insurance, etc. Assist with the development of materials for meetings on a variety of relevant topics.
  • Oversee an accurate record of wealth and handling of personal receipts, disbursements, assets, A/P, A/R, N/P and N/R for individuals and their personally owned entities, using MAS90 software.
  • Oversee accounting functions are performed in a timely and accurate manner, including: A/P, A/R, balancing G/L; reconciling bank statements and petty cash accounts; monitoring and balancing family trusts; reconciling investment accounts; processing dividends and distributions; daily managing of cash accounts and funding them as needed.
  • Assist with the budgeting and quarterly cash flow planning and liquidity management.
  • Oversee accuracy and delivery of time-sensitive reconciliations, reports, and filings (e.g., tax, corporate, regulatory, etc.).
  • Review and approve personal bills/invoices for payment and participate and processing bank transfers and wires, as needed.
  • Monitor fees, commitments/agreements, and measure third-party performance, where applicable.
  • Assist with obtaining financing and maintaining outstanding debt and intra-family loans.
  • Coordinate medical and personal care service providers as needed.
  • Coordinate maintenance, licenses and renewals for vehicles, recreational equipment, and aircrafts.
  • Assist with applying for, replacing/canceling, and inquiries regarding credit cards.
  • Coordinate household maintenance and projects directly, with household staff, or with project managers.
  • Build relationships and serve as liaison for clients with external advisors and service providers and proactively coordinate with all to ensure client needs and objectives are met.
  • Work with junior family service team members to ensure services being offered are accurate, timely, relevant, and compliant. Foster the culture of partnership, collegiality, and teamwork within the team.
  • Other family- and office-based projects, as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or other related field.

A minimum of 5 years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience with direct client relationship management is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong accounting and financial reporting skills. Must have the technical skills to aggregate, translate, and report on financial & investment information.

Demonstrated experience in working with high-net-worth individuals and/or complex family-owned businesses is preferred.

Adept at issue-spotting. Proven ability to identify, investigate, and understand complex issues, evaluate alternate solutions, and formulate sound recommendations.

Adept with Microsoft Office (e.g., Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word), financial technology, and other digital communications channels.

Work Relationships & Scope

Reports to the CFSO. Frequent contact with family members, CFO, third-party providers, team members, and other employees. May have occasional contact with President.
