Customers include not only the world's major vehicle providers and other original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), but also clients from the international motor sports community.
We are hiring a Wind Tunnel Test Engineer in Allen Park, MI.
Overview:
Position Summary
The Engineer will be responsible for managing and supporting wind tunnel-related projects, providing technical expertise, and assisting operators and technicians with troubleshooting and problem resolution. This role requires collaboration with management, technical staff, and on-site clients to ensure successful project execution and high levels of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of wind tunnel testing programs and processes.
  • Collaborate effectively with management, technicians, and client representatives to deliver projects on schedule and exceed customer expectations.
  • Review, revise, and maintain work instructions, procedures, and technical documentation.
  • Provide engineering and technical support for equipment upgrades, refurbishments, and improvement initiatives.
  • Work closely with technicians in a hands-on environment to support testing operations, maintenance activities, and troubleshooting efforts.
  • Serve as a technical resource for operators and support personnel.

Project Deliverables
  • Maintain and update project tracking spreadsheets and documentation.
  • Monitor and communicate project status, milestones, and progress to stakeholders.
  • Assist with diagnosing and resolving technical issues affecting project execution.
  • Communicate project changes, risks, and schedule impacts to management and clients in a timely manner.
  • Provide technical consultation and guidance to operators to ensure safe and efficient testing operations.

MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, AND /OR SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering from an accredited engineering school
  • Two (2) years of engineering experience OR a MS degree from an accredited engineering school preferred
  • Technical understanding of data acquisition and instrumentation interface / communication
  • Operational knowledge of instrumentation equipment related to test systems
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Good collaboration skills, able to work with multiple people and manage a variety of projects simultaneously
  • Excellent English skills (oral, reading, writing and listening)
  • Ability to communicate and interact well with others
  • Expert with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Project)
  • Exceptional organizational and planning skills
  • Positive attitude and strong desire to excel
