Job description

Role Summary/Purpose:

Primarily, this role leads and manages three distinctive sales support teams that include Client Reporting, Promo Support, Merchant Quality Assurance and Merchant Experience Sales Support (MESS). This role will partner with our Client Development Sales teams, Cross- functional and Merchant Experience Leaders to ensure the execution of all sales support activities in Home, Auto & Lifestyles. The role will hire, mentor, and coach sales support team members to ensure operational execution across our business processes. Essential

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Lead the daily operations of the Sales Support & MESS Teams to deliver on required commitments.
  • Provide leadership, communication, coaching, professional development & skill enhancement to team performing Sales Support functions.
  • Partner with Sales Team and lead the development of all standard and custom client reporting in WRS, or Salesforce
  • Work with Merchant Experience Leaders to support their lines of business processes, provide quality assurance reporting and deliver on SLAs
  • Provide onboarding support for new hires
  • Own and quarterback escalated issues; conduct research, work w/ appropriate functions to resolve issue using problem solving skills to add value and influence decision makers
  • Communicate and partner with Key Stakeholders & Senior Leadership regarding sales quality findings and action-oriented solutions
  • Support the development and oversee the execution of our wing to wing ACM process & Quality Assurance strategy
  • Some participation in Action Workouts and other cross-functional project teams, serving as a voice and representative of Sales
  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • In depth knowledge of and at least one-year experience with SalesForce.com or Rapid, Business Center, ACM, Surveyor, Verint
  • Excellent PC skills, with Advanced PowerPoint & Excel Expertise - including report writing and cell functions as formulas, sorting and grouping, pivot tables.
  • 5+ years’ experience in Sales, and or Marketing position in financial services environment
  • 2+ years managerial or project leadership experience
  • 1+ years demonstrated analytic capability and decision-making competence
  • Ability and flexibility to travel for business as required

Desired Characteristics:

  • Bachelor's Degree in business or related field.
  • Openness to coaching and ability to learn quickly.
  • Customer focused mindset with ability to respond quickly to customer needs.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills (written, oral, nonverbal).
  • Private Label Sales and Quality experience will be a plus.
  • Strong finance business/industry acumen
  • Excellent organization, prioritization, time-management, influencing and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Proven track record of using sound judgment in decision making and problem solving
  • Strong teamwork & conflict / problem resolution skills

The salary range for this position is 90,000.00 - 155,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

At Synchrony, our way of working allows you to have the option to work from home near one of our Hubs or come into one of our offices. You will be required to commute to your nearest Hub (either virtual or physical) for in-person engagement activities such as regular business or team meetings, training and culture events.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • You must be 18 years or older
  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
  • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles.  Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles.  Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post.  All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
