Job Description: The Associate Director is a senior, client-facing role responsible for managing complex Personal CFO engagements for ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families. This role partners closely with Directors and senior leadership to deliver an elevated, high-touch client experience while overseeing the day-to-day financial administration of client entities.

This hands-on role requires deep expertise in financial reporting, cash flow oversight, bill payment operations, and multi-entity accounting across individuals, trusts, foundations, and related structures. The Associate Director plays a critical role in anticipating client needs, identifying operational improvements, and driving execution across internal and external stakeholders.

While this role does not initially include direct reports, it requires leadership through influence, strong judgment, and the ability to manage complex workstreams independently while partnering with and leveraging the broader team. As the platform grows, this role may evolve to include formal team leadership responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a primary day-to-day contact for assigned clients, ensuring timely and high-quality execution of all Personal CFO deliverables.
  • Oversee financial administration for ultra-high-net-worth families, including accounting, bill payment operations, and reporting.
  • Prepare and monitor detailed cash flow analyses, identifying trends and anticipating future funding requirements.
  • Manage multi-entity accounting, including general ledger review, reconciliations, and transaction classification.
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and documentation of banking and credit card activity.
  • Prepare consolidated and entity-level financial reporting, including sources and uses of cash tracking.
  • Support strategic initiatives such as property acquisitions, liquidity planning, capital calls, and funding movements.
  • Coordinate closely with internal wealth advisors and external legal, tax, and investment professionals to ensure alignment.
  • Identify operational inefficiencies and implement process enhancements to improve reporting accuracy and workflow.
  • Lead complex client projects, including entity onboarding, structural transitions, and major funding initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred, CFP or CFA a plus.
  • 7-10+ years of experience in family office, private wealth, public accounting, fund administration, or related financial services.
  • Demonstrated success managing high-touch client engagements with strong attention to detail and service orientation.
  • Strong technical knowledge of general ledger systems, multi-entity accounting, investment activity, and cash flow analysis.
  • Ability to translate complex financial information into clear, actionable insights for clients and advisors.
  • Experience coordinating across legal, tax, and investment teams.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple complex priorities simultaneously.
  • Proactive, accountable, and solutions-oriented mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement.
