Bob Steele Salon is seeking a warm, polished, and professional Lead Front Desk Associate to join our Guest Relations team. As the team lead, you'll be a hands-on part of the front desk team while helping set the standard for exceptional guest service.
You'll create a welcoming first impression and ensure every client feels cared for, comfortable, and confident from check-in to checkout. You'll also work closely with the Salon Manager on inventory, scheduling, client relations, and day-to-day salon operations.
What You'll Do
  • Lead by example while actively working alongside the Guest Relations team
  • Ensure all front desk responsibilities are handled accurately, efficiently, and professionally
  • Create a warm, inviting experience for every guest
  • Welcome guests, check them in and out, and assist with appointment needs

  • Assist the Salon Manager with inventory, sales tracking, scheduling, and other salon-related responsibilities
  • Conduct tours for first-time visitors and introduce them to our services and amenities
  • Support service providers by pre-booking appointments and recommending appropriate follow-up services
  • Handle client questions and concerns with empathy, professionalism, and good judgment
  • Learn our product lines, including Pureology and Oribe, and confidently make product recommendations
  • Help train and support Guest Relations team members and reinforce front desk standards
  • Maintain a polished, organized, and welcoming front desk environment
  • Arrive 30 minutes before opening to complete daily setup

What We're Looking For
The right person for this role is warm, friendly, confident, and professional. You genuinely enjoy interacting with people and understand that great guest service is about more than simply completing a transaction.
You'll be a great fit if you are:
  • Naturally warm and welcoming
  • Polished, professional, and fashion-forward in appearance
  • An excellent communicator who can connect easily with a wide variety of people
  • Organized, dependable, and detail-oriented
  • Comfortable taking initiative and solving problems
  • Able to remember client names and build genuine rapport
  • Calm and professional when things get busy or challenging
  • Comfortable giving direction while also being willing to jump in and do the work yourself
  • A positive team player with a "Yes" attitude
  • Mature and professional when handling conflict or client concerns

We love personality, humor, and having fun-but drama, gossip, negativity, and unnecessary conflict aren't a fit for our team. We're looking for someone who brings positive energy, treats others with respect, and makes the people around them better.
Requirements
  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Previous salon, hospitality, retail, or customer service experience preferred
  • Ability to work the schedule required for the position, including arriving 30 minutes before opening
Employee Perks & Benefits
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Complimentary hair services
  • Employee discounts on all retail products
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance (for full-time employees)
  • Employer-paid life insurance ($15K policy for full time employees)
  • Exposure to top-tier brands: Aveda, Pureology, Oribe & more
