Overview
This is a full-time on-site role as a Project Manager at 365 Marine & Shoreside Services. This position involves leading teams, managing customer relationships, ensuring quality standards, and maintaining safety and regulatory compliance during all phases of operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in tank cleaning, project management, and working with large-scale operations in a safety-conscious environment
Responsibilities
  • Project Planning & Coordination:
    • Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets for tank cleaning operations.
    • Coordinate with clients to define project scope, deliverables, and timelines.
    • Ensure all necessary resources (labor, equipment, materials) are available and scheduled for each project.
    • Develop contingency plans to address potential project delays or challenges.
  • Team Management:
    • Lead and supervise project teams, including laborers, lead man, supervisors, and subcontractors.
    • Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide necessary training or support to ensure work is completed according to standards.
    • Promote team collaboration, communication, and efficiency to meet project goals.
  • Recruiting & Workforce Development:
    • Support hiring efforts by identifying staffing needs, interviewing candidates, and recommending qualified applicants for field positions.
    • Assist in developing a pipeline of skilled laborers, supervisors, and specialized crew members to meet operational demand.
    • Participate in onboarding and training to ensure new hires meet safety and performance standards.
  • Safety & Compliance:
    • Ensure all tank cleaning activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including environmental and health & safety standards.
    • Implement and enforce safety protocols to protect workers from potential hazards.
    • Conduct daily safety inspections, risk assessments, and audits on-site.
  • Sales & Business Development:
    • Identify new project opportunities with existing and prospective clients to support revenue growth.
    • Assist in preparing job estimates, bid proposals, and scope recommendations in coordination with the Vice President and Business Manager.
    • Participate in client site visits and provide technical insight that helps secure new work.
    • Build long-term client relationships to encourage repeat business and expand service offerings.
  • Client Relations:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Maintain positive client relationships by providing regular project updates and addressing concerns promptly.
    • Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Budget & Financial Management:
    • Oversee project budgets and ensure that expenses remain within approved limits.
    • Partner with the Business Manager to track and manage costs related to labor, equipment, and materials.
  • Quality Control:
    • Ensure that all tank cleaning projects meet high standards of quality.
    • Monitor and inspect cleaning processes to confirm proper procedures are followed.
    • Investigate and resolve any quality issues or non-conformance.
  • Reporting & Documentation:
    • Prepare and submit detailed reports on project progress, challenges, and outcomes.
    • Maintain accurate project records, including contracts, permits, safety documents, and client communications.
    • Ensure that all project documentation is completed accurately and on time.

Qualifications
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in project management, preferably in industrial cleaning, oil & gas, or environmental services.
    • Strong understanding of tank cleaning processes, equipment, and safety standards.
    • Proven experience managing cross-functional teams and delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent project management, organizational, and multitasking skills.
    • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
    • Knowledge of environmental regulations and safety compliance.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to work in physically demanding environments, including exposure to confined spaces, chemicals, and heavy machinery.
    • Ability to lift and carry up to 70 pounds.
    • Ability to work at heights or in confined spaces as required by the job.
  • Certifications:
    • Ability to obtain TWIC card.
    • 40-hour Hazwoper preferred.

Job Condition and Environment
Working Conditions:
  • Work will be performed on-site at various tank cleaning locations, including industrial facilities, refineries, and other operational sites.
  • Travel will be required to oversee projects in multiple locations.
  • Protective equipment, including helmets, safety harnesses, and chemical-resistant gear, will be provided and must be worn at all times on-site.

Expected Hours of Work
  • The role may involve evening, weekend, or holiday shifts depending on project requirements.
