Job description

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

A driven and innovative Project Manager to lead the project team to facilitate multiple residential custom builders, estimate small projects, meet with customers to sell our Vision.

WHO WE ARE

VISION ELECTRICAL SERVICES is a rapidly growing company specializing in custom electrical design and installation in the Brainerd Lakes Area.

We have a team of highly skilled electricians, ranging from Apprentices, Journeymen, to Project Managers. We work closely with custom builders in the area and offer a range of services that include electrical work, service calls, and much more.

WHAT YOU WilL DO

You will be responsible for the project from the conceptual stages through the execution of planning, scheduling, walkthroughs, drawings, customer satisfaction and helping in the field with tools on. While providing leadership for the development of a multi-discipline team, you will direct and manage employees across several projects at multiple locations, large linear projects, or a combination of both.

  • Proven work experience in project management or foreman lead based projects.

  • Lead, plan and oversee to ensure successful project execution.

  • Manage project budgets, change orders, timelines and contract deliverables as required for each project and project phase to ensure overall objectives and client needs are met.

  • Attend and/or facilitate internal & external meetings, while developing personal working relationship with the client.

  • Determine expectations and set direction of client value drivers with the project team (conference calls, bid walkthroughs, etc.).

  • Lead team on the job to an efficient install and maintain budget:

    • Lay out and execute the project based on provided job plan and maintain code

    • Properly wire project

  • Exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills.

  • Manage project files, drawings, documents & records in our project system.

  • Additional duties as needed.

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE AND MUST HAVES

  • Project Management, Construction Management, related field, or equivalent combination of experience/education.

  • Licensed Journeyman Electrician in the State of MN is preferred.

  • Excellent organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.

  • Ability to delegate project tasks to project team members.

  • Ability to work on tight deadlines under pressure.

  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • Effectively interface with all levels of management, staff, and customers.

  • Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license that represents a history of safe & competent driving.

  • Maintain up-to-date license if applicable.

  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
