Account Manager- Commercial Insurance
Office location – Altoona, PA (In person)
Local, independent Insurance Agency & Financial Services Company is seeking a client focused, motivated, and experienced Commercial Account Manager to join their Altoona, PA team. The Account Manager is responsible for delivering exceptional service to commercial insurance clients while supporting account retention, growth initiatives, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will possess strong relationship management skills, commercial insurance knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.


Qualifications:

  • Previous commercial insurance account management and customer service experience required
  • Currently holds or is willing to obtain PA Property & Casualty Insurance License
  • Effective communication and relationship-building skills
  • Experience with Applied Epic or similar agency management systems preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and general business technology platforms
  • Ability to analyze client needs and recommend insurance solutions
  • Strong ability to communicate details clearly via written and verbal communications
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and documentation practices
  • Must be enthusiastic, confident, outgoing, and initiative taking

Key Responsibilities:

Client Service & Account Management

  • Manage day-to-day servicing of commercial insurance accounts
  • Process policy endorsements, changes, and coverage updates accurately and efficiently
  • Respond to client inquiries regarding coverage, billing, and claims
  • Maintain complete and accurate client documentation within agency management systems

Renewals & Retention

Process & Compliance

  • Follow agency workflows and agency service standards

  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of all the accounts ‘activities

Growth & Business Development

  • Identify cross-sell and up-sell opportunities within existing client accounts
  • Support inside sales and business development initiatives
  • Assist with account rounding and strengthening overall client relationships
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities

Schedule and Compensation Overview:

  • Monday - Friday 8:30-4:30
