Position Summary

East House is a dedicated non-profit organization committed to supporting individuals on their journey to recovery. We provide comprehensive services, including residential support, counseling, peer support and community outreach to empower individuals to overcome mental health and substance use disorders and lead fulfilling lives. Our mission is to foster a supportive environment that promotes healing and long-term recovery.


The Program Manager is responsible for the overall functioning of the designated program including planning, development, and implementation of coordinated, comprehensive recovery-based services that improve the quality of life for individuals served. This includes ensuring adherence to licensing and accreditation standards, managing the program within budgetary goals, supervising staff, implementing evidence-based programming, and fostering a supportive work environment aligned with East House values.


Responsibilities

  • Oversees daily operations of the designated program.
  • Ensures adherence to state certification regulations and agency policies.
  • Supervises assigned staff and provides regular performance feedback and evaluations.
  • Facilitates case reviews to ensure service quality and client progress.
  • Utilizes program data for service evaluation and improvements.
  • Coordinates service planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Participates in strategic planning and agency leadership initiatives.
  • Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to enhance service coordination.
  • Monitors and ensures accurate and timely documentation.
  • Oversees client admissions, discharges, and occupancy goals.
  • Promotes and ensures a safe, hazard-free physical environment.
  • Manages unit budget, resource allocation, and purchasing as assigned.
  • Leads recruitment, orientation, and development of program staff.
  • Participates in crisis response and resolution.
  • Fosters positive community relationships and represents the program at meetings.

  • Ensures compliance with policies, federal and state regulations.
  • Collaborates with the Office of Ethics, Compliance & Quality on identifying and correcting non-compliance.

Minimum Qualifications

Associate degree with 5 years of paid human services experience, or

Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of paid human services experience; OR

Equivalent experience in lieu of education may be considered.


Licenses/Certifications

Advanced CASAC (OASAS programs). Qualified Mental Health Professional. Licensed Masters in Social Work (LMSW).

Valid NYS driver’s license in good standing and access to a personal vehicle for work-related tasks.


Skills & Abilities

Effective oral and written communication skills.

Ability to manage crisis and work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Knowledge of Monroe County Behavioral Health service system preferred.

Ability to work independently and cooperatively in a culturally diverse environment.

Intermediate computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Word and electronic documentation.

Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks.
